No he didn't. You are free to provide a quote if you think he did.
So, yes, he actually did. You're free to dispute the interpretation I guess, I mean it was more like he said he had a lazy summer, but it happened. Rantanen then had a great game and talked shit back to Ismo about it. It was pretty funny. No idea why you feel the need to lie about it not happening though

He did what? My original dispute was about Lehkonen's dad calling him lazy, which he didn't do. Other dude just repeated this lie few comments above. Rantanen reacted to "Ismo talking shit" etc. but Rantanen also overreacted to an implication either based on his own misunderstanding or the misunderstanding of media, not what was actually said.

"Summer is pretty short with a playoffs and Mikko still came to the World Championship games. I just speculated that those minutes of Mikko playing would have met the wall because he's had to do all kinds of stuff. There has been a running of junior camp and other responsibilities that may not have allowed him to calm down enough", Lehkonen said on Tuesday.
"Mikko is one of those guys who find it difficult to say no, and he's pretty ready to do charity stuff and help train the young guys. Mikko is a benevolent hockey ambassador", Lehkonen says.
Lehkonen emphasizes that he didn't say that Rantanen would've trained badly during the summer

"There was nothing particularly unusual in what I said and in that sense the reactions have been over the top. It's just life"

This is the opposite of being lazy: he mean't Mikko had too much on his plate.
You should believe when a native tells you that foreigners have misinterpreted what a Finn has said, especially when you couldn't provide a quote to prove otherwise. Let this be a lesson to you.

Nobody really cares about all of this hand waving you're doing. Maybe the poster stated it slightly wrong but I disagree with your assessment even more and clearly so did Rantanen because he obviously took offense to it.

Whether Rantanen took offense to what Ismo said has nothing to do with the fact whether Ismo called Rantanen lazy or not which is what the user 'reino' asserted earlier. I replied to Reino that he didn't call him lazy and you replied to that: "yes, he actually did" and now you are trying to wriggle around it by calling it hand waving when you were just proven wrong.

In short: I appeared from the skies and smited you with my heavenly verbal punishment. And just like Cain, you too have to roam the earth hunched down in the aftermath of defeat and thoughts like "why didn't I keep my mouth shut?" running through your head.

Ismo wondered if Mikko had hit the wall. He stated that Mikko didn't have a particularly good summer as he had all sorts of unimportant events to attend ("kissanristiäiset" for the Finns here) and maybe he also intentionally took it a bit easier. That's what he said.

You can kind of see a faint implication of laziness between the lines if you look for it and squint really, really hard, but I'm not convinced it's real.

I also remember the thread we had here when those comments became public. Random nobodies like Ismo should STFU and not talk shit about stars, or something along those lines. It's a bit convenient how a know-nothing rando suddenly becomes a leading expert in Mikko's mental state when we retroactively decide to like what he had to say.

lol! Got it. Yeah I think we definitely can just agree to disagree. Finns lol

He's had a very good last couple of games. Also was easily the best player on the ice for Dallas in a few, including his first game here he was dominant.

I have no complaints with his play the last couple of games. If he plays like that consistently the points will come, so I'm not too worried about it as a Stars fan

Last night was the first time since he joined the team that we saw some potential chemistry with his linemates. It's coming

Yeah, I expect that, at the very least, he'll be fine next season after readjusting.

We saw how Pavelski did coming to a new team after spending his career on a single team where he had grown into a routine; very lackluster first season and then found chemistry with the right guys and had some of the best years of his career.

5v5 goal + assist for Rantanen tonight

His last 3 games have been fantastic. 3-game point streak now, starting to find that chemistry with his linemates that we have been patiently waiting for

I still feel he'd be a better fit with Duchene, but it is what it is

When a team adds a guy for 8.25 seasons, it's important to decide whether he was worth it after the first six games or so.

Still producing at a PPG clip away from MacKinnon. You love to see it

Looks like most of his production still comes on the PP with MacKinnon though, unless I missed something and he's no longer on that unit

Curious to know how many games he's been away from MacKinnon and what his 5v5 production is like during that time. Actually curious what site people use to find this info for anyone in general. I know it's somewhere but I always forget

Edit: Looks like 4 non-PP points for Necas in the last 16 games

No offense but he still looks pretty eh for an 12 mil player. Also, Dallas looks terrible. They gave up over 100 shot attempts and 50 actual shots against the flames tonight and been outshot 94-40 the last two games. His line was getting hemmed in all night.

Yes he did score. Mikko can have absolutely dreadful games and still get his points. That’s always been his game.

I didn’t watch tonight’s game, so I couldn’t say. But I watched the game vs the Oilers in which he picked up an assist, and he was completely unnoticeable, even while getting a point.
