Rantanen vs Necas points race to end of season.

I have no problem accept, that he wasnt best of best, if I can understand you well ( Sory, sometimes it takes me real long, to see, what you take like basics. My english is not perfect and I follow NHL shortly). In our sport media was somethink about problems between him and managers or somethink like that. Oh gosh, I really lost some words and have to look for it

That's the thing.. there is a likely outcome that Rants makes 14 million next year and Necas makes 6.5 Is he THAT much better?
As someone who has watched Necas his entire career, when he's on, he has a strong argument for being one of the best players on the ice at any given moment. His problem is that when he's not on, he tries way too much and becomes one of the worst players on the ice at any given moment. There really is no in between. He's either godlike or a guy you want to strangle.

You are right, w
Nečas means bad weather. Don´t listen to Czechboy, he has moravian eagle on hic profile pic, i doubt he even speaks Czech, nor does he drink beer.
hen we take it literaly, it will be translated to english like Notime. (No = Ne) and (Time = Čas), thats why Notime. But this way it nobody uses in real speech. Its historicaly many years understood, known adn used like when you wanna say, that outside is terrible weather and you have no good opinion, how to spend time. You are loosing that time, because weather, so we say Nečas = Badweather. Its absolutely not important, but I love, when somebody foreigners try to understand it. Sorry for long nonsens text.

And you are not from czechia? So why the nick?

Thanks for info, but I am from czechia and here i was explaining that to him

Intresting, thanks.

Shit, thats not exactly what i wanted

I think he is, but Im also biased being in Denver having attack twice season tickets for the past decade watching him more than any player in the league. Ive also made the same argument against Draisaitl for years, so I understand it. Only big difference is Rantanen gets the big matchups because him and MacKinnon are mostly glued together. Draisiatil always has McDavid or without weaker matchups when they are separated.
I don't know what to tell you. I've seen plenty of Rantanen too, and the version we saw last year seemed either lazy or out of shape. Mackinnon was just dominating everyone.

Very similar to Rantanen but the difference is even if Rantanen is the worst player in the ice or have the worst game the second he gets an opportunity he will be able to score. Most of the time it's just him being lazy then you wonder how the hell does he have 3 pts in the game. When he's on he looks like prime Jagr with how he plays with his size, move with agility and protect the puck with his ass.

No one scores a lot on the canes. And Rantannen already getting less (more reasonable) ice time.

Plus, Rantannen was 2nd only to Mackinnon in empty net points.

He's not going to score at the same pace

Necas all the way will win this it's border line impossible to put PPG in brindamour systeme

We say the same thing about Nate too here now and then. Rantanen has been fairly consistent for nearly a decade now. Whether that was Nate's doing or not, we will see. I could see him being meh in Carolina because they seem to spread the wealth as a team points wise, then hell get paid a ton to go to LA or Anaheim or wherever and he will dominate.

We call this, that you dont have to be good, only if you can sell it well.

There is huge time diference between you guys and me, but its not so far, when Marty will have chance to show us some show and maybe shout our mouths.... Right? For me its 1.30 AM, but i will wait

I really hate, when I am not sure, if my sentences make sence....

Not if he scores those points by just handing off pucks to MacKinnon or Makar. That’s the 2022 Elias Lindholm special, Canes have already lived through all of these arguments.
So if Rantanen does that, he's one of the best in the world but if Necas ends up doing that, he's just leeching points off those guys ?

Do you happen to be an NFL referree for the kansas shitty chiefs ?

I think, that no more words cant push our little conversation here nowhere.... Best way is let talk the guys on ice and I saw at first two games more positives, than negatives. He propably knows very well, that this is huge oppotrunity for him and will do what he can to prove it. But yeah, anythink can happen, maybe he will not take that pressure well... We will seee

He had enough chances and it was mostly the same as earlier seasons. Aho has elevated pretty much every linemate he plays with but Necas never looked good with him.

The only meaningful stretch of time the two played together was when Teravainen got hurt in the 2021 season. Necas had 17 points in 14 games that March.

Why did Rod never go back to it? Talent spread and defense. Necas is capable of being a line driver and he is a player that you want to shelter. Teravainen and Jarvis are two way players that with Aho, gave a coach of a defensive team multiple reliable options.

Necas is clearly a super talent but you cant find a better fit than Rants for Mack. Rants can finish with the best in the league. A backhand on the level of crosby, can tip pucks in, laser of a wrister, quick release when needed, laser one timer. Just a bazillion ways to score goals and one of the best behind the net players.

Its really unfortunate we cant put both Necas together. They'd be magic.

Because nationality i hoped, he maybe can finish in Boston with Pasta.
And isnt in Avs more czechs?

Necas has too many bad cases of the dipsy doodle-skate through 3 guys-turnovers, IMO. Rants is heading to a team that across the board is not as good at stick-to-stick anticipating passes, and making them, so both may come back a little from their prior pace. Necas has a slight advantage if he gets a lot of time with Makar and Mackinnon, maybe even Lehkonen, as those guys are snipers. Rantanen has Aho, Blake, Svech and a bunch of guys not named Jarvis who aren't snipers, they spend too much time shooting out goalie belly buttons. Much as I hate to say it I think Necas has a chance to beat Mikko in this race. Doing so though, runs the risk of him becoming a mini-Mi(kko), bumping up his contract demands into the $10m range after next season, which doesn't help the Avs much. Rantanen coming back to earth a little gives CAR some small leverage to keep him away from the $13-$14m range.
