How would you guys rank the 5 best rosters.


1) Tie between Russia and Canada - Russia has alot of starpower like usual but is missing some of their superstars. Canada has a young team but most of the players on the team are up and coming stars.

3) Sweden
4) United States

Sweden still will be in top 4. They are always there. Finland is propably between 5-7.

Canada's got no goaltending and the defense is suspect... I don't know it seems like everyone is in the same boat then?

It doesn't mean that Finland will be sixth in results, but on paper the roster looks weak. One NHL goalie (not at his best), one NHL forward, few KHL players and half of the team from Liiga. On the other hand the Liiga players are good enough (as a team) to compete with any team in this tournament. I wouldn't be surprised to see Finland in semis once again.

Canada has best roster on paper. The players may be young, but they're proven NHL players and many of them are really good. The question is that how's the team play and how they can adjust to big ice. Canada is my biggest gold favorite.

Finland never has the deepest roster, they always take themselves far by intelligent teamplay. I see no reason why they couldn't reach the semis again.

Umm they have 25 NHL players, while most of the European teams have 0-5.

I always rank them 1st on paper, since they're the only team having NHL-players filling the whole roster.

Well, as a Finn I can only say roster schmoster - especially in the WHC the team on the paper can be very, very, very different from the team on the ice. And this fact tends to favour Finland....
