The amount of 1st round picks Gorton has turned down is limited only by the imagination.
You’re probably not referring to me or the impending Georgiev trade, but if you are, I don’t think Georgiev is worth a 1st round pick at all.

The Wild have so little talent Lemieux was annoyed it cost him 2 minutes just to get Hartman off for 2.

I'm trying to not let facts not get in the way of snappy posts anymore. Gotta farm those likes.

(I don't think he's gotten a remotely competitive offer for Geo yet).

But it’s not just for Georgiev. He always waits until the last second. Very indecisive. Makes me think there’s either no plan, there’s a lot of leeway in the plan, or there aren’t many offers.
I think you get indecisive mixed with patience. Gotta likes to get what he wants. If he doesn't then he's not just going to help out another team.

The Jets played tag with Tony all night but the wild retreat pretty far back instead of pressuring the points. Tony has already been fantastic and lively in the O zone tonight.

Is there a greater difference in appearance between coaches than Quinn and Boudreau? It’s laugh out loud funny when they cut from Quinn looking like a Kennedy and to Boudreau who looks like he’s in a suit from Kmart that doesn’t fit and probably has Cheez doodle stains under the jacket.

Is it that HE waits till the last second, or GMs in general don't have a lot of urgency?
It could be a little bit of both, but look at what the Devils did with Hall or what the Wild did with Zucker. Great hauls for both selling teams. Gorton could have also gotten a lot more for Zucc if he didn’t wait so long.

They do some really weird mix of super passive and wildly overaggro in the D zone.

Huh? Double negative. I can’t do double negatives. And who is farming for likes? You?

Oh. What deal did he turn down for Zucc?

Devils got like 45 cents on the dollar for Hall. That's not a good example.

I don't think the market for Zucc was any better than he got. He's a winger who doesn't score goals and the NHL is still largely run at the top by dinosaurs. Centers can be pass first, wingers gotta score. Or something.

How do you know what he's turned down?
He waits until the last second every year and you can set your clock to it.

You don't think every GM in the league doesn't know this by now?

Don't be so naive..
