I read an article about him a year ago that the reason they call him "the Undertaker" is because when he hits, there's no point of sending out the medical staff, or an ambulatory staff, but rather someone from a funeral home to come get the body.

Of course, hyperbole but they were saying when he lays into a hit, don't be surprised if the other guy gets really rocked. That, and he's not hesitant in dropping the gloves.

Even if Hank were to miss significant time...which hopefully he does not...this has happened to other teams and not ended their seasons on the spot.

Fatso has missed a huge chunk of the season, we knocked Anderson out in Ottawa for the last five weeks (not to mention that they also lost their Norris Trophy defenseman and their number one center), Tim Thomas left the Bruins, and Cam Ward is out in Carolina...

And all of those teams are ahead of us or close to us in the standings. Torts system is built to protect the goalie anyway...FIND A WAY TO GET IT DONE WITH OR WITHOUT HANK.

In a strange way, losing the cornerstone of a team often makes the rest of the guys better. Instead of leaning on the star player to do everything, everyone has to step up and rally.

Maybe, just maybe, this is what the team needs to gel and become a new band of brothers...
