A precedent if you will, Ovi trying to drill Malkin, and Malkin squared up, Ovi obliterated himself on that play.

As much as it pains me to say it, that’s not a penalty on Kucherov. He had the puck so the argument could be that Names went to hit him but Names is the one who went down. It’s a bang bang play and since Kucherov had the puck it’s not interference. If Kucherov got rid of the puck a second or two sooner or if he didn’t have the puck then it’s an interference penalty.
