I don’t know how I feel about Nieves. He has obvious strengths and weaknesses, unlike some other bottom 6 players that are relatively ok in most aspects of the game, but aren’t great at any one thing. I think I like the former better, but I’m not positive.

Two problems with Nick Holden -

1) He essentially replaced Yandle

2) He didn't replace Staal

Rangers not very sharp in that period. Still--that call on Hayes for boarding looked just like a regular body check to me. Zuccarello all kinds of time and space to get the puck out of the zone--takes it to the boards looks up and gives it right back and eventually from that the puck ends up in the net. Pionk's passing really bad in that first. He needs to pick it up. Nice hit by McQuaid at the end.

I hope Buch becomes who we think he is and if he does it quickens the rebuild.
Lias will be just fine, smart,tough and always engaged.

The only way you sign him is if he some how suffers a season ending injury - and in that case it should be a 1 year deal where you can have the option of moving him at the deadline next season.
