Vlad and Pavel have been good together.

Namestnikov is playing slightly better today, but he's still not playing well. He's not actively ruining attacks like he has the past 10 games, but he's not making many good plays. He still looks like he doesn't understand he's playing in the NHL. It makes you wonder if he was actually a real NHL'er or if he was just being carried by Stamkos and Kucherov.

I did not expect Rangers to win this game at all, but at least a fun 2nd period - we need to enjoy moments when we are rebuilding this team.

Still don't see anything from Namestnikov that makes me believe in him.

He's going to be an amazing 3rd liner. Like a combination of Hagelin and Callahan. REALLY smart. He plays to the level of his linemates a bit.

Honestly it looks like they're practicing playing in the last 5 minutes with a 1 goal lead.

I'm fine with this, that period was a lot more watchable even if they're not trying as hard as they can be.

They're probably gonna come balls out in the 3rd and score a quick on or two then sleepwalk to the final buzzer.

I love how all of our new players who weren't coached by AV for 2+ years shoot the puck.

The D (Pionk, Gilmour, O'Minus even) all rush the puck and enter the zone with it too.

AV coaches out some very good things out of his players. Refusal to take hits, refusal to give even mild hits sometimes, holding the blue line, rushing the puck as D. It's refreshing to see that again.

lol Keith Jones realizing he maybe shouldn't have asked that question to Mike and expecting him to go on a confused rant

Well it's nice to see Chytil and Lias play in a period where the opponent isn't playing at a higher level than almost every team we've played this season.

Thats the one thing I’ve continually said about Lias Andersson is he is VERY poised around the net. He will never be a center in this league he cannot skate. He really had no business being a top 10 pick because of that alone. But he’s very good around the net. Solid defensively and strong on the walls. He’ll also kill penalties and could be very good on the PP.

But don’t fool yourselves any longer Chytil is the guy that looks like the top 10 pick
Nice to know your shtick is going to continue.

Who cares where they were picked? We have two great prospects. If Chytil turns out to be a first liner and Lias a second, who cares? We win either way.

Btw “never be a center in this league, can’t skate” is something 95% of ppl said about Kevin Hayes at 22 years old. Just saying.

Untrue.

Universally hated here very recently:

Staal
Girardi
Glass
McLeod
I don’t think anyone truly hated Girardi or Staal. Glass I actually liked last year, he was playing really good when he got called up at the end of the year+his dirty snipe on Price
