I remember this as well. Marty and Callahan tried to out own each other for least effective former player against each other's teams.

MSL would be put on a line, and that line would be awful. Kreider and Stepan were better when Fast replaced him. Brass and Nash were better when Miller replaced him. Unfortunately for Hayes and Hagelin, there was no place left to put him.
