Post-Game Talk: Rangers vs. Canes | 3/18/13 | Who needs goals?

Pulled through with positive spirits. I enjoy this feeling of not being a grouch when we're down 1-0.

I will refrain from voting because I didn't start watching the game until there was only a few minutes left in the 2nd.

That 3rd period and OT were awesome.

The zone entry without dump and chase was very nice to watch.

Win masks another ugly game.

Use the two points as a building block, and wash away the negativity. A win in NJ tomorrow can go a long way for the fate of this season.

Miller buys himself a full year in the NHL. Torts buys himself another three years behind the bench. Chris Kreider... keep ripping up the AHL bud, you'll get yours in due time.

Big two points, still major problems, let's get SOME sort of streak going here. Points a must in NJ.

Worst shootout attempt I've ever seen go in.

We won a game.....

Del Idiot was amazing tonight. I'd be remiss not to compliment my whipping boy every now and then.

Henrik
DStep
Dizzy

HM: Callahan, Hagelin.
Richards wasn't good. He was okay. I'll take that as a start.

The Bad: our 22m $ line just doesn't seem to work. McD had an abysmal game.

Ugly win, ill take the 2 points and run.

Good 3rd, great OT, lucky SO

After the first, they played pretty nicely. The first was horrible though, no excuse for that.

DZ had a tremendous game, as did Hank.

Nash usually spend an entire game blowing chances before they start going in, so I think he's on the upswing :handclap:

King Henrik helps us get two big points in the standings.

What I find most concerning is that we still only scored 1 goal. Not only that, it wasn't a "clean" goal if that makes any sense. Callahan was pushed into the goalie and Ellis gave up on the play, just sitting there, expecting a goaltender interference call, and Stepan shot into an empty net.

Obviously, Ellis shouldn't have given up on the play, but if that is the criteria for us to score ONE goal, we're in big trouble.
