Confirmed with Link: Rangers sign Dominic Moore (1 year, $1M)

Ribeiro is a very good player...5.5M is great value for him

Ribeiro is SO underrated around the HF world for some reason. Guy puts up tons of points every season. That is great deal for PHX.

The contracts being handed out today have been absurd for the most part, I think if Sather plans to acquire someone who can put the puck in the net it will be via a trade. Not having Cally and Hags to start the season puts us in a rough spot which is why Pyatt and Boyle will be here to start the season unless kids clearly win spots in training camp or they are going the other way in a trade.

Richards-Stepan-Nash
Zuccarello-Brassard-Kreider
Boyle-Moore-Dorsett
Pyatt-Powe-Asham

That is an ugly opening night roster, hoping two out of Lindberg, Miller, Kristo, Fast, and etc will emerge to win a spot.

Good post. I'm betting on a trade before long.

Here's what my opening line up would look like:

Kreider - Stepan - Nash
Zuccs - Richards - Kristo
Fast - Brassard - Dorsett
Boyle - Moore - Lindberg
Rotating in the line up - Miller

If we are going to struggle out of the gate, I'd prefer that we give meaningful minutes and run to the future of the franchise. and not the has-beens that populate the roster.

Kreider won't start on the first line and Crisco won't start on the second. Also, why is your lineup missing Cally and Hags?

MZA - Step - Nash
Hags - Brass - Cally
Kreider - Brad - Miller
Pouliot - Moore/Boyle - Dorsett
* Possible Rookies: Hrivik, Fast, Kristo.

Once again, I really wish we traded Boyle+Pyatt for a decent third liner. I think it's possible, maybe if we throw in a pick or a prospect like Fogarty or Noreau.

He said opening night, and those two will probably be gone until November.

BTW, why is there suddenly a ****ing HFNYR board wide transition from calling Brad Richards "Richards" or "Beaver" to "Brad"?

Is this what Stockholm Syndrome is?

Dunno. Maybe since it's the offseason and we haven't seen how awful he is in a while, people are being nicer to him.

To me, he's still an overpaid Beaver. :D

I always called him Brad because I had Brad and Mike Richards on my fantasy team, and needed to differentiate them, so I started calling them by their first name and stuck with it.

P.S. Why is he called Beaver?

Because of his bucktooth front teeth. And because I was mad after a game in which he had like 10 giveaways, so I called him Bucktooth Beaver Brad Richards for awhile.

Why would anyone even question why Beaver is called Beaver? Beaver is Beaver because he just is

Good on PK, good on faceoffs, will chip in bit of offense, 1 year deal. What is there not to like?

If we're out of contention or he doesn't work out, we can at least trade him for a 2nd at the deadline. He's gotten traded for a 2nd rounder like three times

Edit: Beaten to the punch. Re: Dominic Moore Granger commrcial.

Not sure what Moore currently brings, but loved him last time he was here. Good skater, good skills, good defense, and effort was always there.

Agreed. I liked the Pouliot move as well.

I still think this forward group kinda stinks though.
