I wanted Shattenkirk and I was wrong
I wanted Richards and I was wrong
I wanted Gomez/Drury and I was wrong.

I didn't want Panarin and hopefully I will be wrong.
You and me both. Though I did not want Shattenkirk.

Who knows? Maybe the universe changed for the Rangers when they drafted Kakko. Not a move I like at all, but cheer on the Rangers just the same.

In a couple years when the new usa tv deal pumps the cap up again this contract wont even be a discussion.

Just curious if this means CK is traded this summer or kept as an own rental to help support kids on the 2nd line.

If Kreider isn't gone in the offseason then he should be gone at the deadline. You don't let him reach free agency.

to me this says the team have a lot of confidence in the farm system.

Eh, I think they're going to continue to aggressively pursue draft picks and young players when they can, this is mostly just that they're not going to be tanking for top 5 pick next year.

But I hope it's a plan by JD and Gorton and not Dolan saying "get that guy I hear he's good and wants to come here"
