In a couple years when the new usa tv deal pumps the cap up again this contract wont even be a discussion.

Eh, I think they're going to continue to aggressively pursue draft picks and young players when they can, this is mostly just that they're not going to be tanking for top 5 pick next year.
But I hope it's a plan by JD and Gorton and not Dolan saying "get that guy I hear he's good and wants to come here"

What does this even mean. We were arguably the worst team in the NHL last year. Panarin is being paid to be 'the guy.' How is he not?
