13-6-2 VS 12-6-1

If You don't know what that is, that is the record of both the Rangers and Leafs, there is a 3 point difference between the 2 teams.

3 points.

1 more win and 1 extra OT loss

The reason I bring up those 2 teams and those 2 records is to show how close they are.

What You are telling me is that the difference between panic and not being panicked is 3 points.

I just think you guys need to relax and chill.

The Rangers are going to be fine there is no need to shake the foundation of the team.

You asked why there is a sense of panic around the team - I provided an article that showed (a) the struggles of their top players and (b) the fact that they've had the 2nd easiest schedule in the league thus far and struggled against top teams. All they've done since the article was published was lose 3 straight games, getting blown out in the last 2. You've also had other fans that watch their games (I don't) comment about how it's just the goaltending that saving them and that their overall play is not that good.

Yet, you just want to dumb it down to purely looking at the record. OK, then why ask the question in the first place?

For the record, I'm a Devils fans so I am very relaxed and chill given how my team is playing this season. Thanks for the coach!

Trust me VERY few miss Keefe we are quite happy with Berube.

I'm not surprised you guys are happy with Keefe for now, I said when he was hired you'd have a good regular season record.

I also said come playoff time you will learn what we already know.

Sheldon Keefe is a terrible coach that gets carried by his stars, and then come playoff time the other coach out coaches him the entire series.

It's not April yet.

Yes, yes, yes, yes...I know, I know...Keefe will suck come playoff time...TRUST US! Heard it already, don't care.

Absolutely loving the way the Devils are playing right now. If the Devils flame out early in the playoffs year after year, I'm sure I'll change my tune but I'm not remotely worried about that right now. This idea that a coach is what he is after one stop in the NHL and can't adjust or have a different outcome with a different team is ridiculous. I'm sure Blues fans have nothing but glowing reviews about Berube though and you have absolutely nothing to worry about there. Anyway, seems like a win-win right now for both teams so far.

I don't know why Blues fans would complain they got a cup.

If he delivers a championship to Leaf fans he's got free reign to do whatever he wants at that point, nobody will say a damn thing.

If he wins he's a made man as a coach.

Every fanbase has complaints about ex-coaches. I'm sure most Blues fans were ready to move on from Berube by the time he got the ax in St. Louis, as much as they appreciated the Cup. There are a LOT of Penguin fans that don't want to see Sullivan behind the bench despite delivering 2 Cups to Pittsburgh.

Point being, you have to take what fans say about former players/coaches with a grain of salt. Another good example is Montreal fans telling us that Kovacevic sucks and will revert back to being a replacement-level defenseman any day now, despite him playing very well with the Devils this season. Players and coaches can evolve and perform better in different situations.

No, no, you don't understand. Only Leafs fans have the right to be happy about their coach, every other team has an inferior one. The same goes for C, RW, and G. I for one look forward to the ten-year Leafs dynasty Berube is going to usher in.

Uh they're 12-6-1 on the year and 6-4 in their last 10.

Really weird timing for this.

I admire organizations that will kick passengers off the airplane even if at 37,000 feet.

Passengers are a subtle motivational cancer that will ultimately bring everybody down. If somebody is no longer working out, the faster you get them out of the locker room the better.

Also, sometimes putting somebody on the block will make them re-think their personal motivation.

Friedman throws a lot of shit against the wall that doesn't stick. He's still one of the top insiders but he's become somewhat of a clickbait artist the last few years.

Of course they're trying to moving Trouba. Even I could have told you that and I know nothing.

The Rangers aren't panicking. The Rangers are being proactive here. f*** the record. It's been year in and year out now of a lot of people ignoring the very clear problems with the team because they've managed to find success. They literally only have a chance every year and especially come playoff time because Igor's a generational goalie. They've recognized that Lindgren and Trouba are complete bums. Just getting off of those deals is a plus. Kreider's getting absolutely murdered at 5v5. He probably still has some trade value too and he can replaced with a better and cheaper player. I'm sure they've internally acknowledged they f***ed up HARD on Zib but there's just no way to get off of him

I think overhauling things in season is a difficult ask but the Rangers are going to look radically different next year and if Drury plays his cards right they could be legit great instead of fake great. Lindgren and Trouba out with 2 mobile puck movers in is a massive upgrade. If they can do something like Carolina did with Ghost and Walker that drastically improves them. Kreider out for a better (and maybe even cheaper) top 6er is a big upgrade. If Batherson's available at all the Rangers should be all over something like that.

His reporting here has been confirmed by multiple, multiple other sources at this point. If you knew they were actively looking to move Trouba before yesterday, you would've been wrong.

100% agreed. You sound like a Rangers fan with your analysis.
The rangers have been good at disguising their overperformance. They have been strong on Power plays and with an exceptional goalie, Quickie being great too.
There are serious dead weights on the team. Rangers need to make some moves if they have a chance to win a cup.
Theyll make the playoffs easily though, but there arent an elite team yet. One would think the president trophy winners would be, but watching them play against good teams, its evident that they are far from going 7 against other elite teams.

I think most Devils fans know what the Rangers problems are because for years now we've been annoyed that you guys could play shit hockey and get bailed out by the PP and Igor while we would often play strong hockey but also often had no goaltending.
