Post-Game Talk: Rangers @ Senators 2/21/13 - Miller Light

2 posts by gaborik, miller choking on an open net, losing to a goal that wasn't even a shot. Oh and taking a stupid penalty via boyle.

The art of choking 2 points.

Add in giving up a shorty as well as losing a goal on a quick whistle. What a loss.

Screw this team. Until Torts s fired and Gaborik, Richards, and Boyle are run out of town, I'm not wasting any more time on them.

I think I say the same thing every time this happens but:

Losing in the skills competition isn't worth getting worked up about, it's not hockey.

Blowing a lead to a team with 3 of their 4 best players out due to injury is the real aggravation.

They will pull it together, but this is just unbelievably frustrating.

It floors me how bad Lundqvist has been too. And before people get on me, for HIM, this is bad. Real bad. Another guy that didn't play during the lockout.

No. Hank was fantastic. Score couldve easily been 5 or 6-0.

For everyone ragging on Gaborik, I thought he played relatively well.

anybody else have flashbacks to renney hockey in the second? zero passion and every time we were in the zone we tried a wraparound or a no look pass from behind the net. im going to have nightmares tonight.

I don't know. Renney hockey with decent players was pretty fun for some years, only when the talent on the roster was at a post-lockout low it got real ugly. Anyway, there has hardly been a period under Torts where the offensive system was significantly better than any time under Renney.

This game has nothing to do with John Tortorella, so everyone blaming it on him should probably just be quiet.

They played five minutes of good hockey. A couple to start. Gave up a shorty, and promptly played like **** for the next 50 minutes. Played a good minute of hockey to get the lead, then relaxed and gave the lead back, like they always do. Weren't bad to end regulation, and a couple good shifts in OT, and there's your 5 minutes.

The Shootout was an abomination. Richards was an abomination. Richards during the shootout, is something worse than abomination. My vocabulary isn't that good.

We were lucky Anderson got hurt. That's it, really. 1-3 since Boyle came back.

Something is wrong with this team, and I don't mean the fact that Nash was not in the lineup.

Something missing. Not feeling very good about this team right now.

We may be snakebitten and chokers, but this loss is on the zebras. Should have been 3-1.

Can't wait till the playoffs start to watch some real teams. Tired of this garbage. Boring, can't get chances, can't score, can't defend. Every ****ing bounce goes the other way. Terrible effort, no luck. If we were playing an NHL team we'd lose 6-0 today. **** this garbage team.

Can you people stop waiting around and just jump already? Jesus Christ. Every loss is a mass suicide and every win is a ****ing circle jerk. We still got a point in a game we had no business winning.

Henrik gets every star, award, etc.

First for Del Zotto #1 star. Hopefully he'll be out with a broken hip for the rest of the season. Worst player on our team.

The Rangers are an unlucky team. No doubt. But if you're looking for one with "****tier" luck, take a look across the ice tonight.

That team was missing their three best players, two of which are better than any of the Rangers skaters, and their goalie who has been having a Vezina caliber season was helped off the ice.

The Rangers didn't lose this game because they are unlucky.

Vezina my butt. I hope he will not be out long.:sarcasm::naughty:

yea cause the coach is the problem............u guys are silly sometimes...........this team was just fine last yr and its a similar personnel.......the last two games sucked.........before that they had a good streak going

Nash has been out the 2 games they sucked..........get him back in and they will get things going again

Oh, I didn't know we had dog **** for players outside of Nash.

I'm getting so sick and tired of Beaver Brad's horrible play. The guy is INFURIATING out there. Like I actually didn't feel too bad when they said he was injured. Looks like he doesn't care anymore. What is this, the 6th week of the season? Should be enough time to get into decent shape. But he just looks bad out there.

Can't believe I'm gonna be wasting my Saturday night in Montreal listening to their goal song 5+ times over and over again.

Gabby needs to hit the net and Richards needs to turn his game around. Boyle should probably be scratched again.

There were some positives though. Staal and McDonagh were great on both sides of the puck. Kreider was finally utilizing his size and speed, and Miller started to find his game in the 3rd. Hank was excellent. Pyatt, Halps, and Cally did a good job of crashing and banging, especially later in the game.

Rangers don't drive to the net nearly as much as they did last season. Once they started doing that in the 3rd and creating screens, the goals came. As much as people want to see fancy goals, the PP would improve if the Rangers did this with any consistency.
