Post-Game Talk: Rangers @ Senators 2/21/13 - Miller Light

Look up the youtube video "Broadway Bound Brad" it's a highlight video of Richards when the Rangers signed him. Plenty of beautiful shootout goals when he was with Dallas in that video. What did he do with his creativity? You never see him make any moves these days.

Exactly..Tonight he made no moves and missed the net..have mercy. I mean if you put me on the ice id at least roll the puck to the goalie on a shootout. lol.

Can you imagine how bad we would be if we'd lost our star players like Ottawa have? This team is a lottery team without Lundqvist and Nash!

Guys! Stop blaming Gabby for always going 5 hole in the shootout.

It works EVERY TIME in practice...

Good one :handclap:. It's so predictable though... it's like our PP, everyone knows that it's just gonna be awful. A lot of nothing.

Thank you.

I love how all the players suck and aren't creative but Torts should let them play a more creative style...sounds like a great idea - rely on everyone to do what they repeatedly show they can't do well.

They cant be creative because the system isnt setup for that. How can you say they cant do it when they havent tried to do it. Are you sure you are watching the Rangers play this season and not mistaking another blue uniform for the Rangers...lol

Yeah, Rick Nash should be playing dump and chase hockey.. :shakehead

I gotta give it to the Sens for playing admirable and overcoming some serious adversity.

Losing Nash makes us look inept. I'd hate to see what the loss of Hank would do.

Actually they have opened up the offense at times this season (3rd period in TB which resulted in 4 goals), the 2 bruins games, the first game against the Islanders, an we scored 4 or more goals in each game.

Yes but the system isnt setup for that. If the open style is working which i think they should be doing and it has worked in the few times they've tried it, why not stick with it instead of dumping the puck in and not recovering it. I mean its a pro team. My pickup games if we dump the puck in 3 times in one game and dont get to it, we yell out ..skate it in!!!!!...lmaooooo

You know, you shouldnt wish that, if you hate Del Zotto that much, he's an asset to get ROR..

I just dont get why they continue to give him PP time when he constantly makes terrible plays. They bench Boyle for 5 games for doing stupid ****. Terrible game tonight, after his awesome 6v4 powerplay blue line keep-in last night. Get rid of the scrub. Super soft. No shot.

Nobody on the team has tried to be creative and failed? Maybe we are watching different teams. I see people try to get fancy and fail dozens of times every game.

Nash shouldn't. Neither should a few other players. Also...Nash doesn't most of the time - he carries to puck in almost every time he has it. Of course, Torts always benches him for doing it...oh wait... that never happens.

i said this in the GDT but i swear brad is trying to get us to hate him or something. its crazy how hard he fell from the graces. i loved him last year.

Doesn't that make it more infuriating? Down and out Sens lose their two best players and preserver. Rangers lose one guy and the game is over before it started.

The collective IQ on the Sens board is hovering under 3 digits.

HAH like it's any better in here...

I thought Miller played pretty well defensively this game, he had been a little shaky in previous games. Hagelin was our best skater by far but I thought Halpern had a very solid game and was happy to see him get rewarded.

Oh it makes me beyond infuriated. We should have won this game, but we didn't.

For instance, I know we had to break up the line, but we even started to do dumb and chase hockey with the line of Nash Richards and Gaborik after they showed how good they could be without that. :shakehead

Miller also made the best move in the shootout, just brainfarted at the last second.
