Sounds like Thursday based on what many have said including some NHL teams though Russo did say today.

Maybe he has the wrong date or they pushed it ahead but regardless, should be within the next day or so.

ESPN should know when the schedule comes out. They'll be preparing their broadcast games.

Curious to see if there will be more or less ESPN games compared to ESPN+ last year. Playoff ratings were through the roof, so maybe some more prime coverage on ESPN.

Lots of talk of a 4PM schedule drop on twitter, nobody reliable has confirmed yet though.

Schedule officially out. Any idea how they split up the blue vs. white half season plans? Just locked in my blue half season and interested to know which games I have access to.

Three home Saturdays all year compared to four home Sundays during football season

I know they don't usually play weekend games but they really slashed them this year. At least Friday's they'd be home a decent amount and even that's down to 3.

Not a fan of that schedule for attendance purposes but I'm Upstate. Still, it's fun to get a couple of people to go to a Fri/Sat game and have a night of it and stay over. Brutal schedule.

So what did they do this year?

2 games against the 16 teams in the other confrerence (1 home / 1 away), and either 3 or 4 against teams in your own conference?

2 v. West (32 games)
3 v. Atlantic (24 games)
4 v. 5 teams in division (20 games)
3 v. other 2 teams in division (6 games)

Same schedule matrix as last year.

Did you notice we play Pittsburgh 3 times in one week?

Sunday 3/12 AWAY
Thursday 3/16 MSG
Saturday 3/18 MSG

Thought the Thursday/Saturday scheduling was odd.
Then we have a home game Sunday 3/19 vs Nashville.

Also we only play Philadelphia once at home.

Blues get 2 pre-season vs White which has only one, so we (Blue) get opening night to offset being shorted one reg season game (the maths logic driving this completely escapes me at the moment).

Selfishly I’m glad to see more home games early on than last season - last year by end of Nov I had gone to all of 4 games (if I don’t count one Covid postponement). I think this season I will get to 6, maybe 7 by then.

And contrary to a different comment above, I’m glad to see a reduction in weekend home games. I think I had about 27 billion Sat/Sun games last season. Nothing but fekkin tourists at those games.

Like the MSG third-period karaoke BS, I wish this was a “tradition” someone in the FO would end. Now. Why is playing WhineBurgh a cram session at season end ?

(Bonus - at least the schedulers FINALLY ditched the multi-year “Saturday afternoon in Ottawa” nonsense.)

All these weeknight games should be a fun test for the incompetent LIRR and their new service that kicks off in October. Ranger games let out between 9:40 and 10 typically, half the old trains that people would take will now leave from Grand Central instead of Penn leaving folks with longer than normal waits.

Really wish they would end the b.s. of the home and home with the West. Play each West team once, alternate the home game each year, and add division games.

The generally only have 4-5 Saturday home games at most. I also wish they would avoid home sunday games during football season. But at least 1 (detroit) is a 5pm when the Giants have their bye.

Hopefully the season breakdown can be added into our invoices soon. With moving, I'm not sure what each game I have is worth. Would love to get the jump on posting games, and listing games on here for face value, but I have no clue what that is just yet.

That is not the Rangers. The Saturday game is an 8pm, so likely ABC wanted it. Why they also play them at home on Thursday is on the league. What is wrong with Saturday afternoon in Ottawa?

Wait. So there will be trains/lines that will only leave from GC vs. Penn?

More or less every other train for each line is leaving from Penn while the other leaves from GCT. So your options will be potentially waiting longer at Penn for a direct train or riding to Jamaica and getting a train home from there.

Game 5 against the bolts the E service ended around 9:30. For every other sport the MTA increases the trains after a game, even tennis.

I think the hardest hit folks are the ones on the Port Washington Branch, who will still have a train every 30 minutes, but need to either wait, or schlep to GCT, which, by the time you get there, probably takes just as long. Otherwise you take the first train out of Penn that makes Woodside and do the up and over transfer to the PW trains.

I don't think this is going to be that bad. You just may not have a one-seat ride out of Penn to your destination. There is a train from Penn to Jamaica every 15 or so minutes on weeknights. You just need to get to Jamaica before your "connection" does.

Exactly... Although the LIRR getting rid of timed connections at Jamacia throws another wrench into things but thats par for the course with them.

Who wants to watch a meaningless “rivalry” on TV on an Fall Saturday ? I gotta be raking leaves all day anyway ! 🤓
