This will backfire. The novelty of the new team will wear off. When they are not competitive, the secondary market will die and then those who need to sell games will give up their seats. They will begging people to come back.

I am under the impression there will always be enough out-of-towners "in town" to see the visitors play...
But this whole operation is not surprising. They want to make money on their tickets. They don't want you making money on their tickets. And until the Knights skate in front of an empty arena, and they have no TV deal, this is not going to change.

I agree with you. Foley didn't spend half a billion dollars to not maximize profits.

That first year was a time to learn. The first year they really courted out of town visitors with group sales. Then they realized there were too many of them and the locals would by the seats for more money...so last year they really didn't sell many groups (if any) to out of town groups. I know two tour operators that got their deposits back.

If the team sucks and people are priced out, they will just open that channel of revenue back up.

It will be interesting to see what happens when the team rebuilds at some point.

Can’t Stubhub decide to provide sellers with buyer name/email for transfer? I’ve previously sold tickets to a Broadway show and Stubhub provided me with buyer’s info to transfer tickets. Buyer confirmed receipt on Stubhub and sale was marked completed.

I suppose it’s a bigger business risk for Stubhub to connect buyers and sellers for sporting events, with a greater likelihood for the parties to forge their own relationships and transact future sales (vs a one-off Broadway show where repeat business is unlikely). I guess we’ll see what happens.

How much were concessions last year? I remember the lines being ridiculous so I didn’t even bother.

I sipped my $31 double vodka and cranberry when I couldn’t find @Joey Bones.

Single shot version was around $20 I believe.

There’s a bar scene in Deuce Bigalow Male Gigalo between Rob Schneider and Norm Macdonald that pretty much sums up my reaction and subsequent conversation with the bartender.

We need a make-up date, lolol

Wow, cheapest available new business full season ticket averages $130/game for corner bridge seats. Crazy.

Does anyone have details on the MSG draft party? All I got was a very generic email saying tickets are "Very Limited".

I do not see anything on the interactive chart for 300 level how do you know these are available>

Go to rangers.nhl.com, and attempt to buy a full season membership...

There are no pairs in 200 level, but several singles. There are bridge bar-stools available. And of course there are pairs-plus in the lower bowl.

Did anyone get a confirmation for the knicks/rangers draft party yet? I don't see anything on my account.

I'm really sorry for the noob question. I'm considering a half season plan and just had a couple of really basic questions:
1) Overall differences between white/blue?
2) IF they make the playoffs, how does that work...do you get an email with an allotment and then pay? Are you virtually guaranteed at least seeing one game as a half season ticket holder?

Thanks and if there's a dummy ticket holder thread available feel free to link it.

As I understand it:
1. Each plan is 22 games, including pre-season. I want to say that the plans will alternate the extra pre-season game each season. (one year, one plan will be 1 + 21, the other will be 2 + 20 pre-season and regular season). I think opening night alternates year-to-year, too.
2. You will get half of all playoff games, in your seats. I am sure you will be invoiced for playoff tickets.
3. Your cost will be significantly higher, on a per-game basis, then those who have full-season tickets. It will be difficult to compete with full season subs when it comes to resale, because their cost is lower, and consequently they can undersell you.

Got 4 extra tickets for the draft party. If anyone wants them, let me know. Didn't know I was getting as many as we did and I scooped off ticketmaster too.

PM if interested.
