The guy frank must have taken the sec 118 row 16s and gave up the 225 row 1. Think those seats would be good if they were on opposite side of aisle towards 224

Yup, exactly what happened. I agree about the 225 row 1 seats - had they been on the aisle on the other end of the row I probably would have kept them - though once the family saw the virtual view of the 118/16 seats they were pretty much set on upgrading.

Just noticed that for all Jets games on stubhub, there are only two delivery options - "stubhub app" or "stubhub app - instant"

no ups, no email pdf, no ticketmaster transfer, nothing else except their system
Jets have been 100% phone for 2-3 seasons.

Fraud my ass, they just want to clamp down even more on the secondary market.

RIP screenshots and QR code reproductions
Fraud with pdfs was rampant tho, especially with the beeg tooreeest crowd. I can't count how many times I saw someone get dinged on the way in with a forgery.

Yeah so I learned, but 100% phone is their phone app. Stubhub is using their own phone app to deliver the tickets. I wonder if they'll somehow adapt that app to account for changing barcodes
I've sold my jets tickets on stubhub with barcodes (via Vivid). I think its mobile transfer but not sure.

upcoming dates:

6/20 NBA Draft
6/21 NHL Draft
6/21 NHL Schedule Release (est)
6/30 NBA Free Agency
7/01 NHL Free Agency
8/12 NBA Schedule Release (est)

rotating barcodes on mobile devices are coming next season. NHL and ticketmaster signed a new 10 year agreement announced yesterday that will introduce presence and safetix to 26 of the 31 NHL teams.

no more screenshotting mobile tickets, everything you sell unless you have hard tickets will have to be transferred thru ticketmaster so the teams will see exactly how many games you attend or transfer.

Wonder how long it takes before we see a big increase in the price of getting hard tickets for the season.

Isn’t it Montreal? That charges a fortune for hard tickets.

NHL, Ticketmaster announce 10-year partnership extension

Ticketmaster's SafeTix™ technology gives event owners control over their tickets by tying a unique, identifiable digital ticket to each fan's mobile phone through an encrypted barcode that automatically refreshes every few seconds. The tickets also include NFC technology that will allow fans to enter venues through a simple "tap and go" experience at venue entrances. These enhancements protect against tickets being screenshotted or photocopied and sold multiple times by unscrupulous resellers.

Pretty cool if the draft is in actual MSG, and not the theater. They must be expecting a nice turnout.

Looks like it's in the arena as it mentions GardenVision in the email.

What's disappointing is it says coverage is from 8 to 10. I assume they don't want to keep the arena open late but I'm pretty sure the entirety of the first round runs way later than 10 so I'd hate to miss the rest of the first round after the Rangers draft picks.

Almost $300 extra per seat for hardstock option

We can't even get paper tickets here in Vegas. Mobile entry & electronic transfer only. Conveniently the team never mentioned this during their STH sales pitch. It was only after we made our final payments for season 1 that they dropped this little nugget of information on us.

$600 extra for two seats would be hard to swallow, but I probably would pay it just so the team couldn't track how many games I sold.

It’s more than just tracking what you sell; make an electronic transaction and they get the contact information of your buyers. Especially sucks when you have multiple seat partners. I still take hard tickets because I don’t want my seat partners to buy mini plans.

Vegas has been going scorched earth on STHs who sell a high percentage of games. They won't tell us what the threshold is, but they have been yanking accounts since the Finals ended last June. The Knights felt like they got shafted all year in season 1 & especially in the playoffs for what resales were going for, so they took it out on the STHs who wanted to finance the cost of their season by selling a bunch of games.

They also decided their partnership with StubHub wasn't yielding enough profit, so they ended that affiliation after the Finals with a law suit. For season 2, they started their own secondary market site where they now charge resale fees to buyers between 25 & 40%. Now the team makes money on the initial sales & the resales. And since all tickets are electronic, they are they only game in town if you want to list your seats. They have made it clear than anyone listing tickets for sale on SH, Vivid, FB, or even Craigslist will be subject to having all seats revoked instantly. So for the VGK, I'd say it's 99% about tracking how many seats we sell & the method we use to do so.

That pyscho policy is exactly what Elliot Spitzer headed off a decade ago in New York State. I have no doubt venue operators in NYC would love to take a stranglehold on the secondary market and stifle competition. For now the law is safe in NY, operators MUST provide at least one way to transfer tickets at any time free of charge without restriction.

This will backfire. The novelty of the new team will wear off. When they are not competitive, the secondary market will die and then those who need to sell games will give up their seats. They will begging people to come back.

I thought him chasing every entity in NY Chuck Rhodes style while banging expensive call girls with his socks on is what did him in, but I digress.

If you are charging them your cost, it should never be an issue as that is cheaper than a mini-plan.

Agreed, but for the time being they have 5000 people paying $100 a year to be on the waiting list for season tickets. The team has taken the stance that as long as they're as popular as they currently are, they plan to maximize every dollar.

This policy is just the tip of the iceberg of some of the shady moves they've pulled since they started play in 2017. In 2 years, my ticket prices have increased almost 80% from what they were when I initially signed on. Forget about upgrading or relocating. If you are interested in moving, the team picks the location for you without your input & you're stuck with it. The icing on the cake is the crap they pull with playoff ticket mobile transfers; they don't give us access to our seats until 12 hours before game time.

Edit...I forgot to mention the $3.50 per game/per seat arena improvement fee they tacked on to every STH at the start of season 2. This is for a 2 year old building & they've made it clear that fee is never going away. I could go on & on....

At some point you have to think they tables will turn, but for now, this is the way they're conducting business. I've already decided I have 1 or 2 seasons left & then I'm out.

Nevada legislature always goes the opposite way. Now that tourism & entertainment are two of the main sources of tax revenue in the state (equal to or above gaming revenue), they find new & creative ways to tack on fees. Since events like Burning Man & EDC are so popular & continuing to grow, the gov't decided they're share of the profits wasn't up to snuff, they created & then expanded the Live Entertainment Tax which tacks another 9% fee on top of sales tax. For events like EDC & Burning Man which are multi-day events, that can add another $45-$90 on top of the ticket prices.
