Your playoff drought almost has its learner’s permit. How in the hell can you “own” anyone’s fanbase in anything? Like what exactly are you gloating about.
The hockey team you root for being better than the hockey team I root for doesn't make your takes on HFboards correct.Your playoff drought almost has its learner’s permit. How in the hell can you “own” anyone’s fanbase in anything? Like what exactly are you gloating about.
Quinn + Sammy (or something similar) for Schnieder makes more sense imo.Eh, this thread is pretty tame compared to most.
Schneider would be of interest to Buffalo, but not for Peterka. Byram is likely available.
The Rangers need a top-4 LHD and some fresh blood in their top 6.
The Sabres need some middle-six physicality up front and a 2nd-pair RHD with size and heft.
To my eyes Bo Byram and JJ Peterka fit the bill perfectly for New York and Will Cuylle and Braden Schnieder do the same for Buffalo.
None of these players are assets their teams would easily give up, so this is very much a you-gotta-give-to-get scenario.
But I don't think it works as a straight 2-for-2 deal: the Sabres are giving up too much upside; the Rangers can't accommodate that return under the cap.
So my question is what would have to be added to make this deal work? Or is it too ambitious and something consisting of just two or three of those parts might work better?
I just really like the roster fits for both teams.
Girard and Necas for Zib 50% , Jones and Lafreniere
Rangers add considerably. This has been talked before
Then you're very likely not getting Byram then
You have to give to get.
An advanced eating crow, I like it.
This isn't the own that you think it is. That could have been Eichel or Reinhart lifting the cup in Rangers red, white and blue. Instead, you have this:

When Byram or Peterka lift the cup for Carolina or Edm or Dallas or wherever they end up, I'll be there to post the lame returns you got for Cuylle and Schneider in 2028 too.
Every single poster in here with a Rangers avatar aside from the OP has stated that Cuylle is un-tradeable or that Buffalo needs to add a lot.
I seem to have really hit a nerve with you guys on calling out your awful takes regarding the eichel trade, and now this trade proposal too.

Your bad takes are still bad takes whether or not the Sabres have a 1,000 year playoff drought or not.
You have a hard time separating individual takes from the delusional thoughts in your head about “all Rangers fans” don’t you.

Feel free to quote a single take in this thread from an obvious rangers fan that proves "not all rangers fans" are delusional in their over valuing of Cuylle and Schneider. That is 100% the case lmao. That guy thinks that 1 or 2 Ranger fans (one of them most likely being Bernmeister, who is the last person to speak for this fanbase) who said things 4 years ago, represent the entirety of a fanbase.
It took 6 post before a Ranger fan mentioned the value of Cuylle, they said they like Cuylle more.Every single poster in here with a Rangers avatar aside from the OP has stated that Cuylle is un-tradeable or that Buffalo needs to add a lot.

LOL. Every single one of your 4 examples proves my point. It took 6 post before a Ranger fan mentioned the value of Cuylle, they said they like Cuylle more.
Another said they don't see NYR moving on from Cuylle.
1 poster called him untouchable and continued with calling 2 completely separate trades bad. This poster has then gone back and forth with others.
1 poster said they'd trade Laf before Cuylle.
And then there you are at post 26 with your classic NYR fans BS, later to be followed by calling a handful the majority. You didn't hit a nerve. You just wanted attention.
Thank you for literally proving my point about you. If you’re foolish enough to actually believe less than a handful of people overvaluing players represents an entire fanbase, then I’ve given you far too much credit.Feel free to quote a single take in this thread from an obvious rangers fan that proves "not all rangers fans" are delusional in their over valuing of Cuylle and Schneider.
Neutral fans are saying its the Rags who need to add.
Don’t even bother, he’s either illiterate or being obtuse. It took 6 post before a Ranger fan mentioned the value of Cuylle, they said they like Cuylle more.

I'd be shocked at anyone ranking the Rangers pair higher....Byram and JJP are generally considered better by nearly everyone.Well, you came running into the thread to mock Ranger fans after only a couple ranked the NYR players higher, and others simply stated how Cuylle brings some more tangible value where NYR are currently lacking. So, yeah, maybe you think the majority = 5 people.
The majority don't even post on the thread boards.

I don't even see how we move Byram anyway he's perfectly fine as our top pairing LD since Dahlin plays RD anyway if we lost him suddenly our LD looks bad because we just lost one of our two capable guys playing in a top 4 LD slot Samuelsson has been worse and is made of glass unless we think Novikov is making a big jump from the AHL.
If you live above 102nd st you probably already areif the rangers trade cuylle i will drink from the hudson river
