It's fair to blame Torts for Gaborik's struggles on his off wing.

Blaming him for Gaboriks **** effort and complete failure to make an impact is idiotic, and simply looking for a reason to blame anything on Torts.

If you look at his stats, he's still in the top 3rd of starting goaltenders. That's not the "average" goaltender. And those are numbers in front of a mediocre defense.

If we truly had average goaltending, we'd be no where near a playoff spot. We are spoiled.

not much of a system if you ask me. all i see is guys doing a halfass job of blocking shots and hank carrying this team along with nash
 
the reason why Gabs is getting forced on LW is because of Stepan handedness. Stepan is a righty and he can dish the puck easier to his left side. But, it aint workting...

I honestly believe you got to put Richards and Gabs back together and hope they can work it out.

I think its time to call up Krieder.

Totally agree, was just going to post this. Torts, Boyle, etc. are not to blame for Gabby's lackluster work ethic.

Sorry but he just hasn't been good enough this year.
 
Man I hate to say it but I really want Torts out. This system is so ridiculously awful and does not play to the best players strengths but more than anything its his old school bullheadedness that costs us games sometimes that pisses me off the most.
 
And I'm not a fan of Torts talking back to Sam. If there is one man you have to respect in the MSG broadcast team, it's Sam. And Sam looked like he got an attitude for asking the questions he HAS to ask.
 
To be fair, alot of credit to Enroth. He played his mind out tonight, and really, the game didn't have a ton of offense either way. We outshot them significantly, but couldn't get many scoring chances.
 
I don't think there is a player who pisses me off more than Gaborik.

It's either he's on and is unstoppable or is just invisible and awful. Such a streaky player.

Trade him in the offseason.

To be fair, Torts has been very cordial with the media this season(MUCH more so than last). So if he wants to vent for this game a bit; I don't mind....

He has been on his best behavior most of this season when dealing with the media..
 
Torts did the rage thing. If he would have wanted to a turn off a TV, it probably would have been done by smashing it.

Not much, he was just an ass IMO.

And I do not like how he gives no analysis of the game. Ever. To say "We stunk." "We sucked when we can't suck." and "I'm disgusted," gives us no insight into the actual game.

I know this is Tortorella and he doesn't give answers to the media, or pick it apart, but sometimes as a fan I expect more then his typical responses.
