what does this have to do with berardDon't get wrong. This is a good decision, but what does this mean for Brett Berard? Just continue to get the top spot in Hartford for another year?

It's not always easy to find a backup goalie. In theory, you just start to look for guys who are not established starters and go from there. But a lot of those guys want to be starters. Being a backup is first and foremost about having a guy who accepts that role. He's fine being the guy who sits on the bench most nights, and his #1 job is to prop up the starter.I like this.
He can still play and he's a vibe. Why not?
we’re trading igor clearlyWould have thought Garand would be the backup next year but sure.
being a professional athlete must be great if you can get 12 hours a night damnGood. If he ever hits a wall we will do what we’ve done before and give Garand a shot when that time comes.
Great representative for our organization. I don’t think he could play 55 games any more (the guy has a reputation for sleeping 12 hours a night) but glad he’s here
We putting Brett Berard in goal because Laviolette won't play him any other way. It's a good idea.what does this have to do with berard
Perfect fit on a crazy small contract. Could even be moved for a draft pick next season if a team needs a goalie.
