Why that fans? They didn't raise the banner.Bad look for all rangers fans unfortunately
Yeah I heard rangers fans broke into msg and held ownership at gun point forcing them to hang the banner. And not just some rangers fans, all of them!Bad look for all rangers fans unfortunately
Devil fans haven't said shit about this. Read the thread, none of these posters are Devils fans.islander and devils fans can have their fun with this. Other then that why would you care lol
"Steeped in history."Damn, you're an Original 6 franchise steeped in history. You shouldn't have to resort to this Rangers. At least raise it as "President Trophy Champs".
If it was just a division sure, but it wasn’t.Anything that isn't a Cup banner is sad. Imagine being proud of winning an 8-team division.
Yes but it usually says “presidents trophy”
It’s the wording. “President’s Trophy” is a thing, it’s respectable. “Regular Season Champ” is mockable and incredibly dumb.
What does that mean, they lost the AFC championship game?Hey now its not as and as the Colts AFC finalist banner

The Western Conference has a trophy and the winner is considered the champion of the conference. The presidents trophy doesn't declare them the champion of anything, just the best record in the regular season. The only season champion I know of is the Stanley Cup Champion. Why not just do President's Trophy? That's what the Blues did. Though I don't see the point in a "Western Conference Champions" banner for 2018-19.

“The Trophy was introduced at the start of the 1985–86 season by the League's Board of Governors to recognize the best team in the regular season, informally known as the regular season championship. Prior to this, the team that finished in first place when the regular season concluded was allowed to hang a banner reading ‘NHL League Champions.’”The Western Conference has a trophy and the winner is considered the champion of the conference. Looks a lot smarterThe Bruins used to have individual banners for division champs, etc (mostly to compete with all the Celtics championship banners) but have since consolidated it to 1 banner for each non Cup milestone and they list the years

Back to back, and three in 5. Comparing the Rangers/Predators banner foibles to a literal dynasty isn't fair.
Today I learned. Glad it isn't just a Blues thing. Just I guess in my mind I was like "Well yeah they won the Western Conference, they won the Stanley Cup" so I figured it was implied. It wasn't an end of the world thing for me, more just thought it was curious.Detroit did both as well:

I’m a habs fan I could care less. I just assumed devils fans would get a kick out of itDevil fans haven't said shit about this. Read the thread, none of these posters are Devils fans.
Although, I can see why you'd assume Devil fans would jump at the chance to mock the Rangers, but we haven't done it at all here.
