Their leadership team consists of 6. He'll adjust to the Rangers with ease.
I think it's a thing now. Saginaw announced their "leadership group" and it was eight guys. A captain, three A's, two guys who would be A's on nights where the team wears a special jersey, and then the goalie.

"Leadership group" is definitely a thing at least in the OHL as most teams are doing that. Not all of them are huge but it is a thing indeed.

Vierling had his first two goals of the year. One was an ENG.

Korczak has a SHG halfway through his game.

Boyko is pitching a shutout halfway through. Garand just started his night.

yeah I get a Captain Cally feel from the kid, had that thought during WJC

Berard is exactly what this team needs. Maybe his offense will shine in the NHL or maybe it won't. Don't know. But he's got that Cally, Gallagher vibe. He doesn't need to be Marchand (though that shot yesterday was world class). I wonder if they sign him at the end his college season? He has two more years of college. But I think he might be ready after this year to start his AHL career. We'll see. Just really see him as the kind of young player you can build around.

I wouldn't be surprised if he stays in college for his junior year. If the Rangers offer him an ELC, the appeal is there of course, but he told me he's looking forward to playing with his younger brother next year in Providence.
