**** man, I remember being excited about Richard Nejezchleb.

Loved that guy. Not sure why he only got one season in NA. Oh well.

Anyone remember the guy we picked up from Toronto who scored a whole bunch but couldn't put it together in the AHL.... Never mind, just remembered. Josh Nicholls. Not sure where I pulled that name from but that was a guy I had high hopes for. Oops, my bad.

Add Lindgren

We still pick up guys like that but now they're HM's instead of creeping up on our top 10.

Tarmo is top-10.

Shestyorkin, though I think he has a higher ceiling that Kravstov.

Also you guys gotta get on the "Shesterkin" spelling bandwagon. That's how the Rangers spell it and that's how it will be going forward. It's not wrong, just different.

usually try to avoid hot takes...but these rankings are slightly more fun with a stack system compared to a few years ago

similar to the draft...#4 is where things start to get interesting for me. the top 3 was pretty clear cut IMO, you could debate 2 & 3 but it was those 3 guys...after that though I'm all over the place in my head. I've got no idea where I want to put georgiev...I've gotten miller, fox and lundkvist in a pretty tight group. I feel that regardless of the order I'll feel that at least 1 of them is being underrated thats how close I have them

At least it was once an accepted spelling. Better than Stall or Stephan or MacDonaghah.

No I get it, but Like Fasth becoming Fast, it's just how we transliterate in North America (and specifically the U.S.). There a bunch of different standards for transliterating Russian Cyrillic, which is how you end up with Alexandar Georgijev, Alexander Georgiyev, and Alexandar Georgiev in a span of three teams. When Igor goes out there, he's going to be wearing a sweater that reads "Shesterkin", so it seems like we should adjust.

Or you could be like @Inferno and still hang onto Fasth. Whatever you prefer.

I still haven't recovered from Kovalev trying to change the spelling of his first name from Alexei to Aleksei. I guess it didn't stick because I never saw any outlet use the new spelling.

As for Shesterkin, I think Shesty as a nickname is a good mix of the old and new.

dumb question but why is the poll limited to only 6 guys at a time? early on thats not a big deal cause I think most agree on the top tier of guys, maybe not the order but the same group...but with our depth as you get further down the list I think opinions/favorites will start to vary greatly and I think you are potentially skewing the rankings by limiting the options by such a small group

the depth here is really insane...you can get 18, 19 deep and still have prospects that I love...then you have another 15-20 guys that are kind of 'MEH' compared to the top of the group of guys, but they would have been top 5-10 on the last a few years ago.

definitely need more forward depth in the middle of the pack though...I think i've got 10 dmen between 4 and 17

I think we can move on to four. I don't foresee more than 100 people coming out of nowhere to all vote for either Miller or Fox.

Don't be so sure, I have not voted with my 130 alternate accounts yet. :sarcasm:
