Exactly. Emberson was a throw-in, but I have a feeling Drury definitely asked for him specifically.

Played with Miller so the Rangers have some scouting reports on him, moreso than on others the Coyotes had in their system at the time.

Not a bluechip prospect by any means, but neither is Fortescue.

I’ve said this before and I will say it again. I only trust the Rangers to “develop” NCAA guys. That’s it.

I think Emberson is okay, but I still like Chmelar’s ceiling better. Think we are at a point in the rankings though where I am not feeling particular great about anyone

I like Chmelar but I need to see more from him before I get my hopes up. I need to see him in the AHL.

Emberson could potentially be a bottom pairing guy, but I'm not sure it will ever be with the Rangers. He's blocked on the right side and there's a lot of competition for the #7 spot. Our lack of RD depth certainly works in his favor, though. If we waive him, does he get claimed? I'm reasonably certain Jones will get claimed if we waive him, so something has to give.

I voted for Edstrom because he has played a lot of pro hockey, yet is still only 22, and he has an easier path to a full time spot in the lineup.

Same. I was just explaining why Emberson should be ahead of Fortescue (as of now).

I would rank Edström ahead of Emberson as well.
