Lias Andersson doing all he can to lead a Panther break and ensure they get that third goal.

For all the Lias apologists, he will never be a player. Never.

Babs might get fired mid season if the leafs drop to below .500 and in the basement in the east.

why do you feel the need to cheapen Strome's play with silliness? Would you rather he have less points, and therefore Panarin would have less points?

Cant it just be that's he's playing well with his linemates? Like he did at the end of last season (without the Breadman).

No need to downplay.....you should be better than that.

Because it’s clear. Panarin is a world class playmaker. He will inevitably make his linemates better. His vision, puck control, and passes are incredible. If you want to buy into the idea that Strome is so talented then go for it.

The Islanders don't exactly have great personnel and look at what Trotz is getting out of them.

Trotz is almost certainly the best coach in the NHL and will possibly go down as one of the best ever.

However, I do believe that defense first coaches almost always get more out of their teams than offense-minded ones. We haven't had a coach like that since torts.

Of course playing with Panarin helps Strome get more points but he has produced even without Panarin. He has the primary assist on about 4 of Kakko's goals.

Small sample. I just don’t buy it that this guy is suddenly meeting his potential.

PS we survived a sloppy 1st.

no one disputes how good Panarin is.

Is it your opinion that a guy like Smith, McKegg, or Howden would put up the same amount of points that Strome has, if they were on Panarin's line?

So is Mika just riding Panarins coat tails too? How many points does Fast have? Strome has played well since he got to New York, without panarin for most of it, sometimes on the 3rd line and still produced. I'm not saying he is what you want in an #1 c but he is certainly better than you give him credit for.

Strome has been great for the Rangers since he got here. All I hear from some posters is he's slow, he has an unsustainable shooting %, blah blah blah. All he has done is produce.

It's not hard to think we might have found another Brassard-type who just develops later and becomes a solid 2C. He's 26 and just entering his prime. This shouldn't be all that surprising.

Strome will obviously never hit his draft expectation.

Absolutely not. I just hear people being a little too high on him. As a 15-20 guy? Sure. I buy that. If you wanna say he’s a 50 point player without Panarin, then I have disagreements.
