Tbh the GDTs are WAYYY less negative now than when the Rangers were legitimately good.

I believe the Matthews draft was the first time it was implemented due to how the Sabres and Yotes tried to tank to guarantee one of Eichel or McD

In 2015 (McDavid) they changed the odds for the chances of getting 1st overall, in 2016 (Matthews) they changed it so that the first 3 picks were up for grabs, not just #1

That's why it was changed to the top 3 all being lottery picks. I'm mostly fine with the way it is currently but there has to be something in place where a team that picked first last year cant pick higher than fourth

I don't see the depth. Khaira, Aberg, Pakarainen, Slepyshev have accomplished nothing in the NHL. Cammalleri is on his last legs. Kassian is a standard 4th liner, Strome is a bust, Lucic is entering Ladd territory, Puljujarvi was drafted the same year as Matthews, Laine, Tkachuk, Dubois, Keller, Sergachev and McAvoy and has been blown away by all of them.

RNH is a decent 2c.

I would argue they have some of the worst depth in the league, instead.
