I've been around a while, and I've seen some terrible proposals but this is... insane.

As a Rangers fan I would approve of this trade, but would question Lou Lamoriellos ability to be a GM if this were to happen

W. Nylander
Salary in expiring contracts going back to even out the cap.

Logic: Leafs get some more size and grit into their lineup, while adding a shutdown D who can play the top pairing. These guys are skilled as well, and gives the team things they don't have a lot of, such as experience and skilled forwards who can win puck battles with their size.

Nylander is a fan favourite so I know Leaf fans will dislike this, but he is a skill player who lacks size and is prone to take shifts off. Leafs have tons of similar F prospects in the waiting, and Hayes replaces Nylander on Maythews line, meaning Hyman can be moved off his wing.

I think this makes both teams better as the rangers desperately need a young player in the calibre of Nylander who can also contribute now. They also save money on cap space.

There is no "logic" to this trade.

This might be the KingDaddyTopper of worst trade proposals.
