Richards has been garbage but everything else is working. I don't think the solution is as easy as "bench him".

Because the one bad has been REALLY BAD. It's not invisible bad. It's completely give the other team the puck and cause chances against repeatedly bad.

Obviously Richards is playing worse but the main issue is that neither center is a threat up the middle. Its killing our transition game because we are over relying on the speed of our wings from the outside.
