Honestly, how does a team in the Stanley Cup Finals just blow a 2-0 lead so nonchalantly? Some of these passes were absolutely ****ing ridiculous at this point in the season. Why would you put that puck up the ice? Why not behind the net? Idiot.

Oh but Dan Girardi is an elite GOAT defenseman!! It's the ice's fault he constantly passes to the other team

Girardi should have played it behind the net. Three Kings to his front and he passes right to them.

Staal and Girardi have been terrible for a while now. Stralman and McDonagh have carried the defense.

Very crushing loss but a few good things to take away from it.

Hate seeing a good game lost because of two mindless turnovers.

Damn. This one really hurts. very opportunity to take game one on the road and they handed it away with a couple of really egregious turnovers.

Games like this hurt more than most. Game 2 is a big, big game now. Though you're never in trouble until you lose on home ice.

I've played sluggish. Really messed with our teams speed in my opinion.

Ugh.

One of the worst games I have seen Girardi play. Even before OT Girardi looked slow and lost all night. He better get himself together in a hurry.

This even tops Girardi going behind the net on Henrique's OT winner in 2012. The guy is nowhere to be found at the biggest moments.

You're absolutely correct. Girardi may have made a bad play, but it was because the ice forced him into a dangerous play.

Should not be playing hockey in June anywhere, especially Southern California.

Yeah. It was a bad play, especially on the replay.

But that doesn't happen on proper ice. Saw it in the Chicago series too. The ice there is horrible. Team has to adjust to it.

Not the first time it's happened this year either. Too many games where the Rangers take an early lead and then blow it because they let off the gas.

Chicago blew three 2-0 leads against them. It happens.

We lost because of the most brain dead give away I've seen this playoff.

Rangers had many good scoring chances in the 2nd until the entire team went brain dead on the Doughty goal. Kings started to take the game over from there but the main culprit was the third. Got to have a better showing than that down the stretch.

First goal was on Nash and Kreider. Mostly Nash. Stepan wasn't given any support when the two of the flew the zone so quickly.

He could have easily sent it off the nearby boards. Ice it for all I care. Just don't turn it over in the defensive zone. You're asking to be scored on at that point.

People were slipping from the opening face-off. Sloppy game all around. Hopefully they can adjust to the horrible ice for game 2. That means no stupid passes. Play it safe.

Just need to take the next one, and everything's fine.

It is a real shame to withstand that 3rd period only to hand the game to the Kings on a silver platter in the OT.

How do you expect to win the game when your team stops skating for entire period, your top offensive players don't shoot, and you defence give the puck away every shift. My god I'm so pissed.

3rd period was pretty awful but if the Rangers can play like they did in the first 2 periods, they can get right back into this series.

Hopefully this game taught the Rangers to not sleep on a lead because the Kings are gonna keep coming back
