Rangers can't afford to make such boneheaded plays against the Kings. That's not bringing your A game. Perfect chance to steal a game after taking the third period off and they do that crap. Maybe in Game 2 the Rangers can actually finish off some scoring chances for a change - two goals ain't getting it done.

Lundqvist was unimpressive this game, but Girardi ****ed up.

This game just showed that we never really had a chance. One good period followed by 2 terrible ones.

You're absolutely correct. Girardi may have made a bad play, but it was because the ice forced him into a dangerous play.

Should not be playing hockey in June anywhere, especially Southern California.

Simply can't afford to make mistakes against the Kings, especially deep in the zone. they are just too good.

There's a lot of doom and gloom on here (and stupidity) from a game that we took to OT despite not looking great. Hopefully they've got their legs back under them after a 5 day break and bring it on Sat

Girardi with a bad game overall. That was just icing on the cake. Can't make mistakes like that against the Kings. We came to LA to get a split. Got one more chance to do that.

There's lots of good to draw on here.

Good game overall by the Rangers. We know they are challenged when it comes to finishing. Not sure that will change but they played the Kings tough.

One of the worst games I have seen Girardi play. Even before OT Girardi looked slow and lost all night. He better get himself together in a hurry.

Had a chance to steal game 1 on the road and blew it. Not feeling good about this series at all, to be honest.

First goal was on Nash and Kreider. Mostly Nash. Stepan wasn't given any support when the two of the flew the zone so quickly.

That play was all on Stepan. He had two days to get that puck out of the zone. He waited and waited and waited and waited and then when a player was on him, it got blocked.

Stepan and Girardi were awful this game. Same goes for Staal. We better pray these next few days off will give them some sort of time to zone in and play better, otherwise, we are finished.

They had their opportunists. Not as good as the 1st but that's because they scored 2. But that third..

When Nash is on the ice, i never expect anything to happen. Sure he's doing some good things on the defensive side of the puck but jesus **** this guy just can't score when we need him too
