As we've seen already, LA is on a whole other level physically than any other team in the playoffs. They hit everything. That's going to make fearless puck movement very important. If you, as a defender, cringe, you're going to get hit and lose the puck.

Although the Rangers played better than most of North America anticipated, Stepan made a mistake that was noticeable, so I will focus on that.
Yes it was bad BUT the kings are really struggling with our speed. Guys like hagelin nash kreider and even Pouliot are flying by their gusy with ease

Let it. We have run short shifts ALL season to have our guys conditioned to do that In the playoffs. The whole point of it is to have our best players on the ice more. That's why we didn't burn out McD I'm the Montreal series when the Habs were burning out PK.

Not to be understated, both of them played a couple if minutes more per game under Torts especially in the playoffs.

Rangers look good when they're getting the puck deep and shooting from everywhere; Forcing too many low % passes. Can't make dumb/lazy plays in the D-zone (Staal & Stepan), Kings' aggressive forwards will eat that **** alive.

Get the puck deep. Forecheck. Shoot. Repeat.

That Clifford goal was pretty spectacular in placement. I didn't think he had an angle on that play at all. Staal was boxing him out good. I want to say it's a lucky bounce but it went where he wanted it to. One could say it went better than he could have hoped for but whatever, it's a goal. Can only blame Stepan on that one.

Gotta love that period though. Sutter shuffling his lines already.

Total luck with a bouncing puck there.

Really good period from the boys. Lots of open ice out there and that plays into this team's strengths.

“@AGrossRecord: McDonagh has logged 10:43 already, Girardi 9:47. Get used to that this series.â€

The second pairing has not been that good recently. They were really good early in the playoffs. Mac and G will need to play 30 minutes each game if the Rangers are going to win this series. They've been rested all playoffs and all season compared to some of the other top d-man in the league. They should be ready for the minutes.

Maybe they can use a different tune for that "Coach's Corner" intro. It's like I'm living in the freaking 70s. What's next? An episode of M.A.S.H.?

So let me get this straight it IS possible that Doughty is not >>>>>>> McDonagh?

Well Subban was >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> McDonagh. Seriously a Habs fan posted that, and I am not sure if I got enough in there but you get the idea.
