Very good period. 1 mistake cost us. Step needs to clear that puck. Put pucks past their D and make them skate. They are very immobile.

Good first period.. could've been 3-0 instead of 2-1, but goes to show you how tight the margins are... can't turn the puck over against this team, would rather engage in board battles over trying to make the play Step did.

But the Rangers have speed.. the Kings are slow.. let's step up here boys LGR.

Obviously that is a good road period, but they looked a little sluggish after that SH goal. Hopefully they can come out strong in the 2nd and keep the legs moving because it was definitely working.

Step definitely makes an ill advised decision with two guys bearing down on him. But Staal is the one who puts Step in a bad spot.

Staal needs a wake up call.

I'm sure the Rangers sense their clear advantage when they are moving the puck in the Kings zone. They got very open on more than a few occasions. Marty choosing to shoot instead of that pass to Moore and who knows.

Rangers Dmen turning it over in our zone knowing a King forward gonna drill him thru the boards...this team physical play really stood out in that period.

This has the atmosphere of a regular season game so far. Crowd is terrible and there's no hatred at all.

LA crowds are always pathetic. You think the Rangers have embarrassing suits, sports games there are just a place for celebs to be seen before their parties.

That Clifford goal was pretty spectacular in placement. I didn't think he had an angle on that play at all. Staal was boxing him out good. I want to say it's a lucky bounce but it went where he wanted it to. One could say it went better than he could have hoped for but whatever, it's a goal. Can only blame Stepan on that one.

Gotta love that period though. Sutter shuffling his lines already.

absolutely cannot sit back against the Kings, these guys are super dangerous and will bury you in a flash. Rangers need to be careful and aggressive on offense for all 40 minutes
