Great - now :
Let us trade Lundquist and Hagelin and let Zucc and Stralman walk!
A seasoned poster here actually wanted 3/4 of this done the other day...

For a while. This is the 1st time in his career he's playing in the top 4 during a stretch drive, and I can't say I am impressed.

I would bump up Klein with Staal and see if that settles the pairings down a bit... Staal-Stralman has been pretty bad since the Olympic break.

Klein has been playing a mistake free game since he's been here. I don't see there being anything to complain about.

In my mind reality is Stralman walks as a ufa and Diaz signed cheap . Diaz can help the pp

I really like that Richards line....please keep that one together...but the smurf line was awful in our end

Its a very high risk high reward line tbh.. They will struggle without puck posession, but be pretty dangerous with it.

2 anonymus games from Zucc now, I hope this wont become a trend. Which makes me wonder: Zucc has 2 quiet games -> gets more icetime than he has in months.

I don't get this constant lazy notion of Nash. I actually thought he had a few good looks and generated a few solid chances.

He could be better, but I don't think he was "lazy" or as bad as people make him out to be on a routine basis. Especially this game.

This is a game where the whole team could have been a lot better. Rangers get two points, and I'd say the Jets outplayed us in both the 2nd and 3rd periods.

Some fans love to throw the word lazy around. It is almost always for players that are big in stature but are not physical. Most of those fans have a problem understanding that if you play in the NHL, you absorb a pounding almost every game

No player in the NHL lasts if they are lazy.

I've never met Henrik, but ive had the pleasure of meeting #35 numerous times. It hurts seeing my childhood heroes record about to be broken. Makes you realize a few things though. Like, how fast time flies by. And how incredibly amazing Lundqvist has been throughout his career.

There are way too many people who overlook the fact that we've had the opportunity of watching one of the greatest players in the history of our team. We might not have a player of his caliber for decades.

Hank is great but it is not a stretch to call McDonagh's his caliber.

From what I've seen, Klein is far superior to MDZ, even if he doesn't score much (and he probably could if he wanted to). Also, the improvement in John Moore since he switched sides and partnered with Klein is very noticeable. While I don't love Sather trading picks for big-time names, I think he picked Nashville's pocket on this one.

When MDZ was on the ice a lot of bad things happened. I don't ever worry about Klein.

same... absolutely zero defensive liabilities with Klein. We're spoiled with it, and the best part is Moore is going to resign on the cheap due to lack of points/production, so it works out for us in the end!! :)

It's been pointed out but I'm very satisfied with how John Moore has played lately. He's really picked up his game.

Ugly win but don't really care lately.

Agreed, he must have found his big boy pants somewhere in his locker because he's stepped up his physical game and it's really helped lately.

The zuc-brass-MSL line has got to go they are god awful defensively.

What? Are you saying Ryan McDonagh is a top five Rangers defenseman of all time?

That's absurd. Rangers have had some fantastic, Hall of fame D-Men over the years.

Leetch
Park
Howell
Ching Johnson
Bill Gadsby
Art Coulter

Then there are others like Greschner.

While I think McD will one day be top 5, to put him over Hall of Famers this early on just isn't fair.

does anyne have the lines that were used lasy night?

Kreider-Stepan-Nash
Pouliot-Richards-Hagelin
Zucc-Brassard-MSL
Boyle-Moore-Carcillo

Agreed. McD is awesome but some people really jump the gun with stuff like this.

McD top 5?

Guys, Seriously. Take your bipolar disorder pills. One day everyone wants to jump off a bridge, the next, we have 1st ballot HOF candidates. C'mon.

Let the kid play out his 20's and earn some hardware before declaring him top 5 in rangers history.

I'm not sure how one relates to the other

We can swoon over an amazing player on our team, and still think the team as a whole sucks (I don't, but the point stands)

Klein is solid. Fire and forget....and he makes Moore a better player.

Good if not ugly road win. Probably the ugliest hatty I've seen in a long while. Great job by AV juggling the lines. Some damn near amazing saves by Hank. Nice to see Steps dialing his game up. If we could just get some scoring from Nasher and MSL, the Rangers might make this interesting.

Take the points and GTFO.

Yup. When we did the top Rangers defensemen, Art Coulter came in fifth. I'd love to see the argument to place Ryan McDonagh ahead of someone who played nine seasons (if I recall correctly) with the Rangers, was selected to 3 2ASTs, and captained the 1940 team to a cup.
