I love how Girardi has been an absolute stud the past few games and no one says a thing about him... underrated by our fan-base for sure.

Dan's the man. Cripples himself on two consecutive shifts with blocks, comes back on 3rd shift making sharp outlets and taking his man out.

Gotta love Girardi.

"We all love to see great talent, but we love to see that great talent pushed to its highest degree, that's... Henrik" - Mike Richter

Amazing.

Girardi's minutes have been going up as the season's progressed and he's been playing great since he signed his new contract--almost as good as McDonagh. 6 blocks tonight and he was a monster on the penalty kills--had an assist on the tying goal.

Klein was very good as well.

It does seem quicker than it should be. That's how lousy some of Richter's post-94 teams were, plus he lost a few years at the end of his career. For as excellent as he was, Richter should have another 100 wins easy.

Richter surely would have had more W's if there weren't ties when he played. But injuries hurt his stats the most. Still though, I can't fathom how quickly the last 9~ years have gone by. I swear, Lundqvist was that Swedish kid backing up Weekes 2 months ago.

It's scary man. I remember first meeting Hank back in 07' and shaking his hand and saying…'I grew up idolizing Mike Richter, and you're the first goalie we have had since him who I think can do something special here"

7 years later he's on the verge of breaking Richter's all time wins record.

Time ****ing flies.

I would go back to the lines at the start of the Wild game. That was a terrible offense performance.. no zone time at all, best line was our 4th..

Zuc and MSL were pinned all game.

That was a rope-a-dope win.

Lundqvist was really, really good. Zucc and St. Louis together--yeeeh--not so hot an idea. Hagelin was so lucky--3 times.

Girardi and McDonagh over 26 minutes each. Girardi with 6 blocks.

He was the beneficiary of a great play by MSL on the second goal, but that nifty backhand shot was all Hags, not luck.

Good job by the boys pulling out the win.

Hank was solid. Hagelin with his best game in awhile. Girardi beast moding.

And I've gotta say, I think John Moore continues to look better and better since the DZ trade, for whatever reason. He was drawing a lot of praise throughout the Wild game from the commentators, and I thought he made some solid plays this game. Obviously he's still a work in progress, but I think his confidence really seems to be growing and he seems less afraid to try and make an impact. Me like.

It's gotta say something for his play that despite the team's recent struggles, everyone brings up the Callahan trade and I don't think I've heard a single person recently bring up regretting the Klein-DZ trade. His minutes are growing, as his AV's trust in him. From what I've seen so far, I am 100% behind the trade.

I can't believe I got to watch Hank get #301 live! First time ever seeing him play live too! I was kind of disappointed though, I only had one person direct a comment to me about the Rangers the whole night! I even went for a walk around the entire concourse during each intermission to see what I could stir up, but there was nothing!

I've never met Henrik, but ive had the pleasure of meeting #35 numerous times. It hurts seeing my childhood heroes record about to be broken. Makes you realize a few things though. Like, how fast time flies by. And how incredibly amazing Lundqvist has been throughout his career.

There are way too many people who overlook the fact that we've had the opportunity of watching one of the greatest players in the history of our team. We might not have a player of his caliber for decades.

re: Maloney. It's funny, I like his analysis more than Joe's, but he has like zero chemistry with Sam, so I guess it's a push.

i'm not sure that is such a bad thing. I like what I hear from Sam, and I like what I hear from Dave. It does not necessarily have to be a symphony, a slight discord is more than okay.

Id say there's a good chance there's a kid out there somewhere right now who will surpass Hank's eventual record. He may be 7 yrs old just starting to strap on the pads, or he could already be in college. Who knows.

But the Rangers have luckily always had premium goaltenders through the years.

Just illustrate, it wasnt even Hank who was supposed to be our next franchise netminder, it was Dan Blackburn.
And he was certainly looking the part early on. Think he still holds the rookie record for wins. But terribly his career ended prematurely, and still we had Lundqvist to step right into the void.
No guarantees going forward, but historically its where theyve been strongest.

I can't comprehend the Stralman bashing right now. He had a somewhat decent game in the limited minutes he played in.

I don't like the notion of giving Klein nearly 20 mins a game. The team will continuously be outchanced (like they were tonight) when he's in.

It goes all back to square one though. The Rangers should've moved MDZ for a more capable offensive dman, but nope.

YOU can't comprehend Stralman having a **** game (his 3rd or 4th terrible game in a row)???

I am truly appalled at this development!

Went with Hagelin, Klein, and Richards.

Hagelin is obvious. Klein picked up 2 assists and was solid in his end. We're finally starting to see the Klein that I knew from his Nashville years. I gave the other one to Richards because Richards takes so much **** I just wanna recognize him when he does in fact have a good game. He had a good game tonight, no two ways about it.

I agree he wasn't playing up to Stralman standards the previous two games, but I thought he played really well vs. the Wings.

Tonight was an average night for him.
