Ryan Lindgren played over 21:00 for the 3rd straight game (21:40.) He hasn't been on the ice for more than 1 GA since February 3rd,
He’s one guy I think that’s going to be a heck of a lot better than most thought he’d be. He’s a sure fire top-4. As if this team doesn’t have enough of them lol. An embarrassment of riches on the backend. The goalie is a superstar, too.

Holy. great stat. I've noticed lately his skating in his own zone has even improved if that's possible? He's able to create more separation between himself and the attacking forward.

Amazing how good he has become and even more amazing it's been with Staal.
They remind me of the old school days where you had one stay-at-home type D man paired with the offensive minded D man went up the ice to try to score, you had the stay at home guy there to stop rushes up the other way. They're a pretty good pairing.

Islanders have zero finish... remind me of some of the Tortorella teams we had where we were relying way too heavily on our goalie and on our barely above average D playing perfect games in order to get a W. In the short run that may work but over the course of an entire season the levees will eventually collapse

I'm really, really glad NOT to not be that team anymore. We still have a long way to go but even when losing this team is 100x more fun to watch than the awful product put out in those years

I think it's like 90/10 in terms of 90 percent good being ADA lol but I know what you're saying. I'm glad Quinn kept them together. ADA and his style is probably only one that can carry Staal

Their defense couldn’t shine ours from 2014 and 2015.
McDonagh-Girardi
Staal-Stralman
Moore-Klein

McDonagh-Girardi
Staal-Boyle
Yandle-Klein

As I said: their defense couldn’t shine those two d-cores.

I hope we don't over commit on Lindgren when the time comes. If he's exactly like prime Girardi, then we need to give him a mid term next contract and let him go after.

Thank the good lord that Panarin didn't want to go there cause had he and had he taken the extra mill a year Lou was offering, the Islanders would not only be perennial playoff contenders for the next 5-6 years, they'd be Cup contenders as well and that wouldn't have been pretty for us to have to deal with Panarin on that stinking team!

Panarin is exactly what that team is missing and that team would have been scary good had he gone there.

Everytime we play them I say to myself "pheww" that Bread wanted Brighten Beach rather than Jones Beach...lol

Shit. Florida just went ahead in Arizona.
This is why I don’t care what the Fortunato’s, Herman’s, etc think. I don’t want to tank another year. You’re not guaranteed anything with the lottery. I’d rTher be in this position. I’m tired of looking at teams like Arizona, buffalo, Detroit and Edmonton never be good. Same Bs year in and year out with them all. Imagine if we were in the Pacific?

You're right Detroit was the perfect elixir for them. They have been average to below average for sure. Our schedule isn't much easier.

You are correct. Our schedule is pretty tough but we have turned into road warriors. The Piles are terrible on the road and they have more road games than home games remaining.
