Classic coaching...pull the goalie...all 6 players go to the boards in the offensive zone

Boards are as far as they can get from the front of the net. Team pretty clearly doesn't want to get hurt for the summer. I guess I don't blame them. Just makes for bad watching.

good result. Hope philly has something to play for saturday. I would imagine they would

Duguay's POV because he had a far better career? Interesting. I think Valiquette is way ahead of him, and Duguay doesn't particularly like it.

Dugay gives you a first hand look as to what's going on, on the ice while Vali gives you theory..

A loss and a Blackhawks win away from 8th.

I'd have a hard time believing Dugay feels pushed while Valiquette with his what, 2 years in the league vs Dugay which has has like 15 years?
Star player vs Dweeb?
Ya, no..

I notice that you didn't acknowledge OP's specific mention of Vally's "knowledge and professionalism." Their former status on the ice has nothing to do with it.

Vally is insightful, interesting, and doesn't just bluster through the same tired or illogical ramblings.

Man if the Islanders win the draft lottery from the spot they land in because of beating us this board is gonna melt to the ground.

True, but we've got a better chance at winning the lottery because of this game.

Neither team is likely to win, I'd just like to be in a position to take the best player they can get.

Go Hawks and Oilers!

Again..I'd prefer Dugay's on ice analysis over Vali's theories.
It's not to say I don't appreciate Vali as I've stated above.
Just me personal preference..

"I notice that you didn't acknowledge OP's specific mention of Vally's "knowledge and professionalism."

that was the point. It was never about their playing career.

Seems I started an epidemic with Lias' skating here.

My bad :help:

Dude I’ve been saying it since September when everyone told me he was tired from traveling.

This kid was an awful pick at 7. If he becomes Stepan we’d be lucky and I hope to god that he does but he’s never going to be a first line player. No shot. And at 7 we should be trying to land elite prospects. He skates like Brendl and Steve Ruchhin were his skating instructors.
