NYR west coast trips are a beauty for me. Get up at 4, game until 6:30, shower, work at 7:30 or university at 8:30 --> Dead tired around noon. It's the awesomeness.

Watershed game for the franchise tonight. Emerging Islanders vs mostly struggling Rangers. Sounds like a bad movie from my youth. The Rangers can not come out soft and docile tonight. They have to be hard on the puck from the moment it drops. Let's Go Rangers.

So glad the rivalry is relevant again. The last time we played an important game against the Isles was in 2007 when both teams were fighting for a playoff spot, similar to tonight's game. Hope it's a good one!

I remember when Glenn Healey came over in 93, he said that to the Islanders it was always more than just another game...as a long time fan I can say that unless it's the playoffs the Rangers don't approach Islander games the way the Isles do.
