I don't think it was that bad. The Islanders had the puck advantage in puck possession but I don't think we should be worried.

Fast paced and exciting period. Relatively even, although the Isles had better scoring chances.

It's too bad Asham had to take a penalty there. Hopefully the team comes out strong the 2nd period or else they are going to just keep waiting to see how long it takes the Islanders to score first, which they just about did already. It could have been worse but it definitely could've been better.
