LaF is not struggling
wasn't McDavid on day 1, but fine we good with that

and the maybe of Wright is too risky

You his mother? Neither he nor Kakko are setting the world on fire. Your rush to come to his defence caused you to completely miss the point of my post: despite his struggles, there's no way the Rangers make that deal as presented.

People who were saying Kakko should go before Hughes were hilarious. Kakko has been totally outclassed and I bet Rangers are kicking themselves for not taking Seider, Byram or Zegras.

Would you do it? Some Habs fans say no. Curious to see what the Rangers say.

* Lafreniere
* Rangers 2022 1st
* Rangers 2023 2nd
* Kravtsov
for
* Habs 2022 1st (unprotected)
* Chiarot (50% retention... sign/trade possible)
* Lehkonen
* Rights to Harris

bad trade for the Rangers. Laf by himself easily gets that return. No idea who Harris is but Rangers don't need Chiarot.

Pure garbage for Alexix Lafreniere, And you don't even include Cole Caufield in the deal. This is pure rubbish.

This trade is so awful it really needs 'Blockbuster' in front of it. Laughably bad given there's no guarantee as to what pick that first ends up being.

Just red that NYR might be interested in Toffoli. Don’t know if there is leg to it. Does it even make sense NYR fans?
We need a RW he'd be a decent fit, but we cant take back contracts with term and money as we need to extend Kakko, Strome (or find a replacement) and Blais this coming offseason, then Laf KAndre and Chytil the following offseason.

Maybe if the habs retained 50% we could afford him, but why pay that price when theres a bunch of expiring RWs on the market that will go for a 2nd and prospect or less?

I’m not defending the proposal in any way. But this would have to be an offseason trade because of the conditions on the Dvorak trade. So the pick position would actually be known at the time of any trade involving Montreal’s 1st
