The name of today's game is screens and deflections. Every team practices that and focuses on it. I would guess that most goals are scored in this way. It's absurd to expect so little from your goalies. These screens were from way out. They weren't point blank and they weren't deflected. Geo needs to stop those. Good goalies do. 75% of goals scored, I see people excusing them away because of a deflection or screen.

The best goalies in the league stop these shots most of the time. Geo is not that good.

2nd and 3rd goal, screened or not by Trouba you dont get beat from past the circles. Certainly not twice. At least not if youre planning on winning.

Not when it's your own guy, and a screen from several feet out can actually be harder to deal with than a guy standing in your crease because you can't look around it and battle to see the puck.

Block the shot or get the f*** out of the way and let him see it. I'd be pissed if I was Georgiev right now.

We had a good win over the Caps Wednesday and now two turds against “bad” teams, but this is a young team missing its top center and we kind of expected this. We’ve been talking about Byfield since the first week of the season. This is how the whole year will be and that’s fine. I dislike some Quinn decisions, have no interest in Ruff being here, but I’m never surprised to see us losing. I don’t like losing, but I also had come to terms with this being our season back in October so I don’t get too worked up about it. And I kill a six pack of Founders all day IPA.
