Stepan actually was one of the better fowards, but it's beyond me why he and Cally are suddenly whipping boys.

I get it that we expect more of Cally, and you can tell he's trying too hard to be the difference maker. It worked against him tonight, hard. That said, through the first 3 games he was one of the more consistently effective players.

These guys better not have the day off tomorrow. 2 LONG practices, right the ****ing ship, and play like everyone knows you can.

Nash was completely invisible. I would be second guessing this trade if he continues to play as ineffectively as he has. Otherwise can you say Jagr? Can you say Holik? Can you say Naslund? It will be another one of "those" big name acquisitions for Ranger fans.

However, as of yet the team has not shown that it is built to be successful, nor have they given the fanbase much to be optimistic about.

They aren't sharp, and they are fatigued. Still, considering this, team depth is still a concern.

We're not cycling properly, guys are fleeing the boards too early and leaving our defensemen on an island without a play to make but throw it in and have it blocked down.

Our collapsing defense is leaving the team susceptible to deflections and rebound chances.

Yeah the guy that has one of the most talented powerplays in the league and his team is clicking at 5% on the powerplay.

The coach that gets all the offense he needs to work with and whose team has a hard time crossing the blue line.

The coach who has the best goalie in the world and his defensive scheme is to literally stand in front of said goalie.

The coach who has a guy in Jeff Halpern whose ONLY function is to take faceoffs and doesn't send him out to take big faceoffs.

Put Stralman on the powerplay. At least he's a no-BS, get the puck to the net type of guy.

Why would you include Jagr? Jagr was arguably a top 10 player in franchise history....in 3 seasons.

Jagr met, surpassed, destroyed, and humiliated expectations here.

i expect to get flamed for this but i am starting to believe that torts isn't the right coach to get this team over the top. His inability to get this team playing with any sort of offensive flow and failure to strategize a competent powerplay will be his downfall.
