This contract is a massive nothing.Who the f*** are they bidding against for all these bums?
Skating is one of his weaknesses…I like Parssinen. I still think a 3c is in there. He can skate and he plays hard.
The qualifying offer was like 800k so I was confusedThis contract is a massive nothing.
It’s so low that you can basically dump the entire contract in hfd.
And if he can’t make the team, he’s likely to be claimed.
It’s really not that difficult
That's me watching on as Drury is making deals.WTF does this have to do with anything?
Does it have a full NMC?My patience is extended
Is it? Seemed to get into the play and forecheck just fine when I saw him. I dont know though. I mean yeah he is a longshot at this point.Skating is one of his weaknesses…

His numbers are very similar to Kappo Kakko last season, and Kakko had PP1 and 1st Line time in seattleDon't really have an issue with this. It's literally peanuts, and he wasn't THAT horrible. 5 points in 11 games for a guy who played what 8 minutes a game? And once he was given 12-13 minutes he started getting points.
Non-issue here.
My reaction is less to do with the cap or Parssinen, but rather the organization looking at this player and thinking this fits the change of direction for the team. If he wasn't a center he probably wouldn't receive an extension, but the team is so thin down the middle that they hope it works out.
Much like a few other players, he needs to a get stronger burst/separation. Maybe also improve the muffin show.
The contract is fine as it doesn't hurt us at all.
Sure, but it was 5 points in 2 games, which came at the end of the season where they scored 14 goals in those games. Only 2 of those points didn't involve a top 6 player. (I'm not counting Cuylle as top 6 here). The rest of the time he did nothing.Don't really have an issue with this. I kinda agree, but it’s easier said than done, and especially at just 1.25M.Sure, but it was 5 points in 2 games, which came at the end of the season where they scored 14 goals in those games. I'm not saying don't extend here, but the team should still look to address that position if they can bring in somebody providing more of what we need.

If he has a reliable 5-yr stretch on a 3rd line a la Names, then we'd be pretty lucky. For whatever reason he reminds me of Namestnikov, I'm kind of indifferent to the signing to be honest.
