Really would’ve preferred not having Blackwell out there for more time than Laf and Chytil...combined.

Especially today where he was the opposite of good.

The lack of movement to shake up anything on the Zibanejad line still pisses me off - I say this while acknowledging that this was probably Kreider's best game in a while (it still wasn't good, but positive progression is positive progression.)

I anticipate that they'll be much better on Tuesday.

on the one hand, Devils have literally no one else with talent, on the other hand, yes DQ has done a horrible job with Laf and Kakko. I don't care if you've got good vets in the lineup theres got to be a way to integrate them better

We have a log jam at the wings, and even if we change coaches that's not going to fix it.

And yes, it can and should be more even, but Kakko and Laf are not going to get 20 minutes over Panarin and co.

I would be happy somehow switching Laf and Strome on the pp along the right wall but we shall see next year. you can't keep playing these kids 10-11 min a game with no relevant pp time.

Is there a stat that tracks how often a team scores at least one empty net when when the other team pulls their goalie? I can think of only two games where we didn't score an empty netter when the goalie was pulled. Both came in games against Buffalo.

We just beat the Devils in a game where Kravtsov, Lafreniere, and Kakko had points. That is a thing that has occurred.

Thought Fox and Lindgren had a rough game, so their stats don’t surprise me.

Absolutely. I mean I think more recently the #2PP has received a bit more time, but there's still no excuse to play Blackwell, Miller or Trouba over Lafreniere and Kravtsov over there.

I think the goal differential being artificially inflated due to an inordinate amount of empty net goals is a MUCH better argument than taking away two games against the Flyers where we earned the goal differential.
