Post-Game Talk: Rangers @ devils -- 4/18/21

2. Georgiev. Played a solid game, 2nd goal was savable, but otherwise he was solid (and that 2nd goal was a great shot).
3. The kids. Could make a case for all of 'em. Kravtsov got his first goal, Laf scored a beauty, Kakko stood up for Laf, got a point and also took one for the team to get us that game winning PP. And I guess Chytil was there as well...

What is concerning: yesterday we dropped a 4-0 lead. Tonight we dropped a 3-0 lead. That's unacceptable, and Quinn needs to reflect on this. This can't happen anymore.

If they were going to sit Hajek for this game, Jones should have got the nod. Bitetto was not good. You can live with those mistakes from Jones. Not a veteran. No chance Quinn is putting Jones in for his first game against the Islanders, so it'll be back to Hajek now. Probably won't see Jones until next weekend against Buffalo, at the earliest IMO.

Is there a stat that tracks how often a team scores at least one empty net when when the other team pulls their goalie? I can think of only two games where we didn't score an empty netter when the goalie was pulled. Both came in games against Buffalo.
