No, they are human. So are you. You're injury was worse than Staal. It appears that perhaps nothing is broken in his face. Same as my friend, however his eye will be closed shut for a couple of weeks which puts him out indefinitely.

Yea it may have been worse than Staals but it's similar to a lot of NHL players who take a puck to the face and lose teeth/break there nose etc and come back in the same game.

Most of us would be out of commission for quite a bit of time.

these guys, while human, are on a different level physically. And you're basing that eye swelling on the occurrence of someone elses injury. We have no clue if they are similar in any way, shape or form at this moment.

The way that McDonagh, Girardi, and Staal have been getting banged around, you never can have enough NHL ready defenseman. Obviously not the sexiest pick-up, but maybe a change of scenery helps Hammer.

I wonder if Hamerlks Fehr bashing during the lockout hurt him in the room in Washington. I'd have no way of knowing but it's something to think about. Maybe a change of scenery helps Hamerlik.

Hamrlik is a better option than Pickels and Gilroy.

I have no problem with this move. Much better vet depth on the blueline and give up NO assets to get it done.

The top unit with Stepan, Callahan, and Nash, yeah. But the second unit isn't producing ****.

Post up Stralman and Hamrlik on the points and let them bomb away on that unit with Pyatt screening the goalie.

The organization may not think he is ready yet. He missed half of the season already.

Hamrlik costs nothing but money. They have a ton of cap room.

Seriously, not that upset about this signing. If anything, it'll help. Bickel needs to go. Guy is the reason for the penalties, he never fights, he's ALMOST worse than Boyle.
