Prust is such a mediocre player that we in Rangersland glorify to the enth degree.

Fact is, the guy had a career year here. He is not a 12-15 goal scorer. That's like saying Boyle is a 20 goal scorer. He's a gritty fourth liner that will rarely effect outcomes of games.

He was invisible in game 1 outside of his neanderthal acting which cost him 2 penalties and gladly sealed the game for the Rangers.

I liked him as a Ranger, but am still glad we let him go for the contract he signed. Overglorified 4th liner because he played well for one season in a huge market.

Kreider did exactly what the whole team should do, ignore his annoying antics and score on his average defensive abilities.

Mike Milbury's advice to Montreal regarding the Carey Price injury? -- "Beat the tar out of Chris Kreider or take a run at Lundqvist"

Thank you Mike for your intelligent & professional analysis featured on national television.

What would you expect from a guy who beats up ten year olds.

Millbury is an idiot. Who cares what he says.

People should think about what this forum of ours is going to be like if the Rangers manage somehow to go all the way. The most cynical amongst us are going to be so giddy and friendly they won't resemble at all the posters they were before. There will be almost nothing to ***** about. It might be almost disgustingly sickly sweet. I'm not sure this forum was even around in 1994 when we won our cup.

As for the present and meanwhile--you take the games one at a time. There are going to be highs and lows and hopefully the team continues to stay healthy and thrive. Missing Price would hurt them--it was unfortunate for them. They can blame Kreider. I don't think it was intentional at all. Canadien posters should keep in mind that after the first period anyway--Kreider using his speed got in on their goalie alone 3 or 4 times which is a whole lot for just one player to do. Their defense was the problem. They were continually chasing after him back towards their own net. If you can't mark a guy over and over again--disaster is right around the corner.

They are more mad than Devils fans.

Lulz, what a pathetic thread. The OP is taking french lessons  can talk to Habs fans for 2 weeks.

Unreal.

Also, living on Long Island, I'll tell you, the majority of their "fan-base" is something straight out of Honey Boo-Boo

Kreider would just out wrestle Prust and then once Prust is gone they have 0 toughness... They couldn't move pouliot or kreider out of in front of the crease on the pp and when were in the zone... Their defense is to slow to keep up on the rush

This whole Kreider/Price thing is getting ridiculous:

Forward Brandon Prust said Kreider ran into Price "accidentally on purpose."

Therrien agreed.

"I reviewed the incident," he said. "Obviously, it was an accidental contact, but let's put it this way, he didn't make much effort to avoid the contact.

"I'm sure the intention of the player was not to hit the goalie, but you have to try to do everything in your power to avoid contact and it's tough to say if he tried everything to avoid that contact."

This x10000000

Whenever I go to the Mausoleum I'm blown away, seeing all these people that don't look or act like ****ing New Yorkers

People have been taking their liberties against Hank for years.

I hope Price is not injured but I feel no sympathy. About time one of our players drives to the net with abandon.

Honey Boo-Boo meats Long Island Medium. lol

They actually have two real fighters, Prust and Parros. They would destroy Kreider, who knows nothing about fighting.

Except KReider would not and should not answer to either if they came calling. So its a moot point. Physically speaking, he has little to be worried about.

The main people I really see over-covering the Price-Kreider thing are in Canada, which makes sense as it allows them to take some of the heat off the fact that the Habs got utterly ****ing throttled in that game. We'd be doing the same if we got destroyed like that and Hank took a hit. Media distractions don't mean much on the ice, though, and the Habs still need to lace up and find a way to put on a much better showing next game. That's what I expect their coaches are fully focused on. Looking forward to game two

I remember one of the posters had Prust as one of the players to watch for last game. I don't know if it was a joke or not though.

He actually said "take a run at Carey Price."

It was not eloquent.

Hey guys. I took a bunch of Cub Scouts on a hike yesterday and thus missed the game. Anyone know where I could watch a replay of the game?

Thanks!

Lol at the Bruins fans defending the Kreider play for us.. I love those guys

Seems a lot of "two bad teams are playing and will get slaughtered by the west" sentiment out of their board. They're being sore losers, all season they got a big head about being by far the best team in the east and the only team that can beat the west. Instead of thinking that maybe they're wrong they're doubling up saying that the last two teams left in the east suck. I don't love those guys.

Agreed. Lot of talk about how they would be destroying the Rangers right now. **** them.
