I really hope Price is in so they dont have any excuses

Its amazing how much complaining I am hearing

We're 3 wins away from our first stanley cup finals in 20 years, whether or not they have excuses means absolutely nothing to me.

Mike Milbury's advice to Montreal regarding the Carey Price injury? -- "Beat the tar out of Chris Kreider or take a run at Lundqvist"

Exactly.

In fact, it'd be great if all 20 Habs came down with the flu tonight and we had to play their farm team in game 2.

TSN calling Montreal fans and players out about the Kreider/Price hit.

Its Politics 101. You know what you do when you cant win an argument? You make the argument about small things. In the grand scheme of yesterday's game, the Kreider/Price play was accidental and small thing. It is unfortunate if Price got injured, but it was not malicious.

Anything for them to avoid talking about how their team played for the other 59:57

the most important thing accomplished yesterday was the confidence of winning a game in the bell centre. the whole scenario of Lundqvist and the rangers inability to win there was a concern for me, and i'm sure the Canadians were hoping this would continue to be a factor in this series.

we handed them their ass on home ice yesterday, and if nothing else should help then focus on just winning the series....

So much getting blown up about this. It was not intentional whatsoever. Montreal fans calling for his head blah blah blah. Let them, and then just skate away. This series would be over especially fast if they resort to antics like that. Not to mention they have noone on that team that Kreider needs to worry about. Its comical.

Their fans too. It was a hot topic on their radio shows.

For me it was never a worry. Things tend to be different in the playoffs.

It's already been said multiple times, but all this huff and puff is a distraction from the abortion of a game they played.

The Rangers have done a good job of playing hard whistle to whistle and ignoring the shenanigans and it has infuriated their opponents. Kreider irritates people because he's big and fast and they can't contain him no matter what they try.

Agreed.

Montreal got by with the "no respect" card against Boston. Looks like they're searching for a rallying point.

Regardless of what happens with their goalie, they need to avoid embarrassing themselves for the majority of the game again.

They actually have two real fighters, Prust and Parros. They would destroy Kreider, who knows nothing about fighting.

Considering the Canadiens swept the Lightning who had to play their backup the whole series, I could care less if Price was to be out. You beat the team you're scheduled to play.

If those are the Habs' motives, Game 2 is ours. Chris is becoming a classic power forward for us, with the addition of world class speed. They'll have a golden opportunity to take a stranglehold on this series if Budaj is in next game. I have complete faith in Marc Staal to keep the smurfs in line.

The only things I was worried about going in to this series were scoring on Price, and Hank playing well/winning in Montreal; Game 1, and they've already made Price look very human, and Hank looked great at the Bell Centre as well. Even if we go back to MSG at 1-1, these are GREAT signs. At the very least, we've stolen Home Ice.

parros wont play and if he does that a huge bonus for us. kreider if he was jumped by prust would just have to make it a wrestling match and prevent prust from throwing punches. kreider doesnt have to win a fight to play his game on the edge.

4 game win streak. Hank on top of his game. Contributions from all lines. McD back in form. Nash scoring. Tons of momentum.

And yet, I see us coming back to MSG 1-1. Prove me wrong, boys. Prove me wrong. Please.

Hard to overstate the magnitude of this game.

Ideally we're up 2-0 heading home. Split the two games at MSG and we need 1 win in the last 3.

Vs.

Tied 1-1 heading home where a split would return home ice to montreal and require us win 2 of the last 3, including very possibly yet another Game 7...this time on a Saturday night in Montreal.

I prefer option 1. lol

Anything less that a 7-2 victory will be a step back. Feels good to be able to say that in game 2 in the CF. Predicting another landslide, but it could get nasty.

I think the "2-0" curse ends here.

This is a totally different team than the one that lost both game 2s to Philly and Pitts. They're engaged, battle ready, and have a strong killer instinct. They haven't Rongo'ed once since game 4.

I think they win this one.

Wont matter. This is going 7 games as usual.

All Kreider has to do is out-Prust Prust. Wrestle, grapple and avoid being hit. That's exactly how Prust survives many of his fights.

I don't think the scoreboard will be the same but I think the play will...and if we can get the W I really believe we will sweep..again big IF
