Post-Game Talk: Rangers @ Boston

Rask gave up a couple of soft goals, but the Bruins also got a couple of bounces late.

Hank gave up 3 but he was great for most of this game. Even in the shootout Marchand had to fit it in the tightest spot. Henrik is rounding into form, as expected.

We were in total control of that game and quite frankly it was bad luck that they tied the game. I honestly do not remember the Rangers ever blowing a 2 goal lead in the final 2 minutes like that during my time as a fan dating back to 98 or so. Maybe I'm forgetting though.

Got the 2 points move on

Yeah, I agree. It truly was a lot of bad luck, and honestly, I can't believe they won. I give them credit for keeping their composure and coming out of this with a win.

I want Richards bought out, he is just brutal. No energy, no skill. Horrible decision making...what the ****?

Dat ain't Callahan

F1 in on left, force opposition up right, F2 steps up forces pass up middle, F3 intercepts, Rangers go on attack.

Like clockwork.

2 points are 2 points, so quit *****ing, random stat, when I actually go to my night class, Rangers are 2-0, have class Thursday night, hope for more of the same.

happy for the win but im worried about Richards. I would move him to the 3rd line with the kids. I think it will reenergize him and would also help set kreider up at the net like in the jersey game

Only saw first 10 minutes of the 3rd, what happened to the lead. Did Chara play for the Bruins, I didn't hear his name once, during what I got to watch? Where the last 2 B's goals bad/soft?

Yeah, I dunno, the Rangers didn't play a good last 10 minutes but those two late goals were more "flukes". The Bruins got good bounces on both of them and that doesn't usually happen multiple times in a row...

Rangers got too careless with the puck and stuff after the Bruins first goal and didn't really do a good job maintaining possession, but at least they got 2 points out of the whole deal...I'll take it, and it probably gives Torts a good example to yell at them about being tougher at the end of games

I absolutely blame the players on the ice for making that a much harder game than it needed to be... but I don't get why people keep doing things like posting "Oh man, Hank's gettin' a shutout!!!" or posting a PGT BEFORE the game is over... don't test the hockey gods man, don't test them. :sarcasm:

Pretty good game from this team other than about 5 minutes in the 2nd period and 12 minutes in the 3rd... A win may be a win, but giving Boston a free point could come back and bite them in the ass at the end of the season if they're jockeying for a top playoff spot. Whoever pointed out the players not looking too excited despite the win going into the dressing room -- good, hope Torts rips them a new one. No excuse for having a three goal lead in the third, and giving it away in the last 2 minutes.

We have this season and next season to evaluate Richards. If we start to notice any sort of decline, then buying him out could be a possibility. Will see if it gets to that point, still far too early to make decisions on that.

Hank had an awful 3rd imo. but was amazing the first two periods.

Not what I saw. They outshot us 40-29 in the game, he had no chance on the first goal, second goal was blown coverage in front of the net, and the third goal was a broken pass that went off of someone's skates right to Marchand. It is what it is. He clearly outplayed Rask and was one of the only reason's we even made it to OT.

Anyone who thought we outplayed Boston and actually deserved that 3-0 is delusional. Rask literally gift wrapped 2 goals for us. The Stepan one wasn't terrible, but it's one he should have had. And it doesn't get any worse than the goal Stralman gave up.

Bruins got a point out of it, and honestly, they probably deserved it.

Pretty frustrating that we keep giving away points to the Bruins. We blew 2 leads against them and pretty much gave them 2 extra points in the standings. Just hold the leads guys, hold the leads. Ughhh

Yes, we let down and totally collapsed, at the end of the day 2 pts, have a drink and celebrate and move on. They're not always pretty

Goals were fine they battled back...Rangers just make it more exciting by doing what they do many times...Make their fans suffer..but we got the 2pts and a 3 game win streak...boo yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Nash was great overall(some hiccups but nothing serious).

Our Dmen played well save for about the last 3 minutes of the game.

2nd line was very good.

1st line was an abomination. Richards/Gaborik were unbelievably lazy, and ineffective.

Hank was very good in the game overall, but was struggling a bit towards the end.

Torts needs to recognize Bostons domination along the boards in the Dzone, and put more support along the walls from the wings. He just doesn't learn. They did the same crap last year.
