Lucas Wallmark is definitely a keeper. He's a guy that I thought would top out as a 4C. His offensive instincts are outstanding. It appears that his skating continues to improve as well. Known primarily as a distributor in the SHL, his goal scoring has improved in each of his last 4 professional seasons.

He's still a bit slight of build, but I'd love to see him with a true goal scorer on his wing (Zykov was one of his wings down in Charlotte) for a game or three up here. I do, however, see the value of keeping him in Charlotte to help the Checkers continue their attempt to make the post season. With the Checkers going 12-6-2 in their last 20, they've got a more realistic shot at the post season than we've had for the last month.

With Wallmark getting all the love here, it's Andrew Poturalski that's quietly leading the team in points and assists.

Maybe Wallmark can come up for few games and we send down Ryan, who has NHL experience and can help Checkers?
